  • Great video, really rare to find this stuff out there! Shows a lot of what life was like on and around post while not in combat. How did you all keep the artillery off the mountains? that is my worry with everyone being in a valley like that.

  • I was with this unit, Radio Relay 67-68 we had a few sites over looking DaNang that were over run, also our base camp NW of the city, near the ammo dump when that blew up, was over run during Tet of 68, I was in Hue City at the MACV compound when it hit the fan, about 28 of us and a couple divisions of them. Rest you can see on the Military Channel. My second trip I was at Division near Freedom Hill before being sent to. "grunt duty". Didn't know until after the fact, we were in Loas.

  • Great Video. I had a friend who stayed up on the ridge above 1st Mar Div headquarters as a radio man in 1970. It is very unusual to actually see these scenes. I spent my time between Danang and Red Beach. Thanks for taking the time to share these videos.

  • Thanks for the note. We had a reunion in Texas last months and had a great time. Its hard to believe how old we have become. Thanks for your service.
