i hooked up my 500 gb western digital hard drive, but when i go to restore data, and i click restore, the screen gets all sparkly. is this suppose to happen?
When you restore its everything you backed up including games so you don't have to download them all over again. I'm not sure if the PSN accounts are included.
just delete them by clicking on there name and go to users (within there PSN account) and click triangle and click delete.. But if they have there own PS3 make sure you deactivate there account before you delete them.
So... I noticed that the front of your PS3 has the memory stick area due to the part flipping up when u grabbed it to bring the ps3 back into view... but you said it was an 80Gb, so it wouldn't have the slots if it indeed was an 80Gb... Very small detail, and there's no reason to bring it up, but i thought i'd say it...
its the older model of the 80GB i bought the limited edition Motorstorm bundle. the new 80GB models isn't the same as the older one's mine has memory card slot, 4 USB ports, and has B/C

Just a quick question, what does the restore function include. Does it include the PSN User accounts as in, are they also restored?

how do you save your trophies? are does that happen by it self if you do a full backup

You press Triangle on Trophy Collection and go to sync with server and that saves to the Sony servers.
