Armin is trance and he gets more play because of the genre. Tiesto is awesome, but he also made his name through trance. Carl plays techno and has been on the scene for more than two decades, and continues to be ranked between 20-30 in spite of not playing trance.

Its DJ"s like David Guetta and Kaskade where the real party is at, festivals with them are just abnormally awesome.

But with regard to music production, and working the crowd, I think Kaskade is better than both Tiesto and Armin. Kaskade has come on strong the last couple of years and is really only now emerging as a 'known' artist outside US borders. I've seen all of these guys DJ. Kaskade's a better show. But, they're all excellent shows and fantastic artists, no no offense to the others.

But he was just named best US DJ, and he toured with Identity Festival at the end of the summer, so he's only now being noticed outside US borders. His genre is rising again, and he's one of the top producers. Even Tiesto understands there's a change in the movement - toward house. It's one reason why Armin lost his title - and why Kaskade is going to move up very high in DJ Mag's rankings for 2012.
