  • WOW - so this is where Cleptomaniacs - All I Do (Bump & Flex Club Remix) had originated from!

  • Holland, Dozier, Holland?

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDrunknz she could have been your runescape gf :-[

  • Pure magic. Don't know how this song managed to elude me for so long, but now I'm listening to it non-stop.

  • Nice and simple. Not a lot of distraction, just pure voice...what's missing today. You go to a concert, and realize that the person you paid big money to see cannot even sing.

  • This music and era inspires me as a black person.

  • Yes I love this song. I love me some Tammi Terrell

  • wow

  • THIS SONG IS SO INCREDIBLE.

  • i love this version just wanna clap my hands and dance

  • She was an angel here on earth, and men abused her.She was even raped

by 3 guys on her way from school 1 day.

  • @lawrence9333 R U SERIOUS, I DID NOT KNOW THAT

  • @pathorne2 Yes,I am serious.Go watch the documentary about her on Unsung

and it will tell you about it.

  • She was an Angel here on earth!!

  • Amazing that Stevie Wonder wrote this song when he was 16

  • Tammi Terrell is definitely one of the greatest soul singers of all time. And she was Marvin Gaye's best partner for duets over Diana Ross, Kim Weston, Oma (I forgot her last name- no disrepect intended), and Mary Wells. Rock and roll and soul!

  • Wow, this is pure GOLD!!! Too bad Tammi passed on at such a terribly young age. She was clearly just gettin' warmed up. Best duet partner Marvin ever had, too. Damn shame...

  • @PeekaPeep Thanks for the comment. For me this is easily the best version of SW`s classic song, and my favourite Tammi vocal.

  • @PeekaPeep how old was she when she died?

  • @fluffypillow916 24, I believe. Way too young to go out the way she did.

  • HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH EVERYBODY!

  • very nice song is there a Stevie Wonder version?

  • I love Tammi

  • I think I love this more than the Stevie Wonder version.....Didn't even know Tammi did this until recently. Her voice is soooooooo beautiful. LUV this song!

  • Stevie Wonder wrote that song and recorded it himself years later on his HOTTER THAN JULY LP. A great find. Thanx 4 posting.

  • Cant stop listening to this version!!!!!!!!!!

  • @LaCriollaRoja Thanks for the comment, I think this is the best version bar none ! Glad you enjoyed it also.

  • Total LOVE LOVE LOVE. It´s so uplifting, free, stylish, solid and LOVELY.

  • Awesome track from an awesome singer. gone way to soon.

  • Soul sugar.

  • I bet Marvin was tearing that thing up.

  • I stumbled on this version by accident. Never knew that Tammie sung this. Simply beautiful. OMG… classic, I am 29, and grew up in a household filled with music. I can not stop listening to this version, maybe one day when I get married my bridal party will walk in to this version(lmao). I can’t express how glad I am for true soulful music, with real depth, harmony, vocal arrangements, musicianship and did I say soul. Thank you.

  • Superior to Brenda Holloway's version in my opinion.

  • Nice version. Motown made a big mistake not releasing this.

  • Super Duper OOper Fine..

  • i honestly can't stop replaying this song...its absolutely amazing and i love tammi's voice on this..r.i.p <3

  • why the hell did they not release this? this a number #1 hit in 1966 period.

  • This song is much sweeter and sentimental with a female touch.

  • LOVE IT!!!!

  • i thought this was stevie wonder song.........lol......now im up 2 speed!

  • Can't stop listening to this version!

  • @noirpoetix1 Ha, me too , just happened to be listening in at the same time, it`s a fabulous track, many thanks.

  • @SoulsurferUK08 it's kinda bitter sweet. Having read about her life and then hearing her voice. Plus I've always liked the Stevie version and now that I've heard this one I'm like keeping this on LOOP haha

  • @noirpoetix1 I know what you mean, it`s 44 years old now and sounds as fresh as it did back then, many thanks again !!

  • @SoulsurferUK08 44year old eh! music must be the only industry that does not make progress, this industry is going backwards, lets face it they sure can't sing like this nowadays, can you imagine on x factor with vocals like this,no neither can i

  • THIS WOMAN WAS CRAZY GORGEOUS W o W

and I never knew this song was this old Stevie was a genius.

  • @DREDWHITEHEAD My pleasure to share, this little tune has stood the test of time as has the wonderful memories of Tammi, thanks for the comment.

  • her voice is amazing. so much talent

  • There are only a few songs I like the first time I hear it and this is one of them.

  • .....

    this song is great.

  • Wow!! Great song! Where can I get it? I can't find it anywhere.

  • @embcarcadia

You can find it on a cracking CD "A Cellarful of Motown"

  • One of Motown's biggest mistakes was not releasing this as a single!! This song is perfection!

  • All respect to Brenda Hollaway but you have to give credit when it's due my favorite female singer of all time, ironically, did a much prettier job on this song. Rest In Paradise Thomasina

  • Love This Tune!! great share xxx

  • I saw her at the Regal Theater in Chicago, IL in 1961 (or 62) with Marvin Gaye. I got a chance to go backstage. She was having headaches then. Marvin really loved her and losing her could have been the start of his problems. Also, Little Stevie Wonder came down from Detroit and sang his hit "Fingertips." Those were the days.

  • Please Tammi Terrell fans vote for her on the next TV One Unsung she's leading the polls beating teddy p, and the ojays.

  • @88ritchie i am right now i didnt kno u can vote i hope its not too late!!!

  • @JERRiCKKABaBy

Sorry for the long delay but to answer your question no it's not to late and she still ahead at the polls

  • my favorite version of this song... tammi was absolutely AMAZING!!!

  • I just read her bio on line. How sad. She was only 24 and so so beautiful. I miss her.

  • She died before i was even born, but l still feel a great lost. She's absolutely beautiful and her voice is timeless.

  • Today is the 40th anniversary of her untimely death. RIP Tammi.

  • My favorite Tammi Terrell song, too!

  • I heard this song yesterday at the first time..and i can't get it out of my head!!it's beutiful and full of love:)))i really want to feel something like this about someone.

  • Heartbreaking.... this song has such a plaintive quality.... full of yearning...

  • Beautiful song. Do you know what album this was originally on?

  • RIP Tammi!

  • I love all the versions of this song! They all have different Styles!

  • Happy times! Pure Quality.. Soul!

  • dang yo this is jammin and this is way before my time im 17

  • I guess that`s the magic of early Motown, great quality and built to last. Thanks for the comment, years apart in age, but we both know quality when we hear it mate.

  • yeah i feel you bro

  • It is so magical and ageless. I love soul in general. Tammi's voice was just to die for though.

  • liking it, but prefer brenda hollaways version

  • Love Brenda, but this version is a personal favourite for me, and Tammi`s vocal is better, but it`s all good and we all have our own favourites. Many thanks for the comment.
