i march with my bari too, it is really hard, im only a seventh grader and this is my first year marching, so i was realy worried about not performing well, but my band director put me as a section leader in marching band, and i thought i sucked. any tips for playing the bari?

I do too know how hard it is to move with a bari sax >=[ when i try the end of the mouth piece keeps hitting things in my mouth, AND that thing aint light, moviing it around is like moving several bricks, the momentum of the movement jerks the mouthpiece of your mouth sometimes =P ANYWAY Bari sax = awesome

It's a lot harder to move if the thing is almost as tall as you i march bari and im not even 5 feet tall female baris are the absolute best

@hp71196 I march bari as well. I'll be a junior this fall. It is kinda hard. I'm maybe 5 9, and it's still pretty hard for me. It takes more toll on breath than anything.

@TheSaxismylife your right it is eay to march with just a neck strap but it is easier and wont screw up your neck if you play with the harness and its just straight up easier to use the harness i just use the neck strap for jazz band and concert band

i started playing bari about a year ago and i am getting good but the saxaphone im using is my one problem. the one that my school owns is 5 years old which isn't that old but i need to take better care of it. the high school im going to next year is gonna have great school owned bari saxes so all have one with better sound is probably newer and in better condition
