this only happened because they had too many cars on the track and there was mechanical problems... it was the people working the roller coaster and the mechanics problem that those people died! if they had just used their minds and shut the roller coaster down, everything would have been fine. Now in 2012 things have changed, but i still think they should have a memorial...:(

It's funny how now it's probably one of the most safest roller coasters now due to the accident. I work in the mall (nothing to do with the amusement park) but people still go on it all the time, although I've never personally been in there yet.

The car that crashed was my fav to ride back in the day.... it had the most slack and would whip u side to side when coming out of corners.... Rode it like 100 times. crashed during "party in the park", I was attending "white wolf" was the band I think.

I was just on the mindbender just last week... The ride has for sure became A LOT more safer. They usually do regular check ups making people wait for the ride to open again. I've been on that ride two times and I have to say that's a hell of a fun ride. But nevertheless the check ups they do are safe to me (every hour they change carts, do a test run and a check up).

I know accidents happen, but if this considered "one of the safest rides" then I guess my roller coaster days are over...it's not worth it. I didn't just picture myself as one of those people, I thought about how much worse it would feel to see it happen to a loved one. Or how a loved one would feel if it happened to me. The emotional pain must be unbearable...It's crazy how much trust we put into these kinds of things :/

I only went on this ride twice before (I am 14. When I went on for the first time I was 12) and the guy had to measure me before getting on. Anyhow, I know why they have height restrictions now. When I sat in my seat, the guy asked me to lean forward to check if my shoulders would be past the safety harness. I was barely 'bulky' enough and I was scared at first because I was nervous that I would fall out. (Only because I barely fit in the harness) But, I'm alive! I'm going to GLand tomorrow!

it's no surprise that the ride crashed, and I bet it will happen again, my dad worked as a maintenance engineer at galaxyland for awhile, he quit after seeing how they maintain these rides, they won't even let the workers fix rides properly, it's one band-aid fix after another, it's not the workers who are at fault, it's the head management. One day somethings going to break and more people will either be seriously hurt, or worse, dead.
