  • i didnt know Bear Grylls was into engineering

  • @Snowboarder146 ut oh im out of alcohol spirits! better drink my own piss

  • Как это работает ?

  • your phone ring

  • is it weird i feel like screaming up up and away when i hear this?

  • i think it might work better with the flame another centimeter or so away

  • I soooo would like to build one of those! Can I find some blueprints people?

  • don't use glass for hot cylinder

  • what is used for lubrication??

  • вечный двигатель,бля...)

  • Brilliant!

  • I find it hard to masturbate

  • So many alternatives to petrol and yet.........

  • it looks like a entertaining crack pipe

  • does the piston need oiled

  • "and shes away!" as it slides across the table. lol!

  • I can imagine old airplanes running on something like this.

  • How much does it cost

  • Super engine!

    Good job!

  • So useless yet so awesome.

  • If i got my hands on one i would totally make a Usb charger out of it.

  • the moving parts need a drop of oil .... then it rum smootly

  • awsome

  • ala-moonum!

  • Amazing nice little engine! I wish it could run forever without heating...

  • can u give me the link of these on that website becous i can't finde him :o

  • how does it work

  • Everything in universe is movement. This thing uses principle of heat is movement, and less heat is less movement. Air is light by its nature. When it gets more speed it starts to overcome the escape velocity of earth and as it expandes, it will go up in earth. In that tube air expanses, it has speed, and it goes up. When it goes up, the "coil" will cool it down. and speed will get slower and air comes back down. Then the fire heats it again....

  • The weigth and preasure of the air moves the Cylinder whit same energy as they move themselves.

  • @iamsnail : Thank you Fred Einstein for that extremely silly explanation. I think you should stick to poetry.

  • @Gruntol5

lol. My explanation is correct. Maybe useless, but still right.

  • You've just made my life a lot less miserable!

There's hope for this world and humanity after all.

    Massive respect

  • Well done demo. The sound of the engines is music. What beautiful little devices they are. Bravo!

  • it needs a heaver flywheel as it runs a little jerky

  • it's not jerky in real life i think it's the video quality making it strobe a bit!

  • @maxitrak how much power do they have?

  • oh hell i want one

  • build one by yourself, its easy ;)

  • I can't think of any use for these, and that's probably why I like them so much.

  • @astoundingchimp

    Paper weight/incenerator

  • brass is better

    nice stirling engine

  • how much is one?

  • £74-99 for the Ali one and £99-99 for the Brass one!

  • what does that mean in american money? $100?

  • no not at all that much, maybe 50

  • more because 1 pound is 3 dollars so times it by 3.

  • lol £1 = $3? not a chance, £1 = $1.65 ish

  • @maxitrak can u convert the price from ---> £ to $ ? if so how much would it ve in $

  • how much did it cost for one?

  • Lovely little device. Can you use White Spirit? And what can I use that doesn't turn the glass all black?

  • Use surgical spirit, that should burn alot cleaner!

  • @Mattaeae denatured alcohol

  • @GundamKnight07 - alcohol - yes - that's what MindCrime123 said - quote - " then it RUM smoothly".

    C2H5OH hic!

  • and wats the point of wits

  • cant find it on the website

  • it's under the "Kit Models" section.

    Regards.

  • uh... Where does this thing exhaust the hot air from??? please tell me

    *sight*

  • It doesn't exhaust, it works by air being displaced inside the glass tubes by heat to make it run.

  • I'll have a look in to it but I'm sure it will run a generator if you get a small enough one! no idea on the rpm's 200-300?, and yes they are surprisingly powerful for such a small model.

  • can you hook it up to a generator?

  • whats the max RPM?

  • Can it carry a load?

  • Yer, someone very small :D

  • Could I buy one?

  • Yes you can come to us direct.

Maidstone Engineering Supplies is the company name!

  • Very nice and very cute. I wonder if anyone would use these for a Stirling-powered bicycle?
