The Zoo Med moss looks interesting. The pictures were not clear enough for me to tell if it was shpagnum or a combination of sphagnum with some other substrate. It certainly looks worth some experimenting with, except that the cost is really high compared to shpagnum moss. Good luck with it. Let me know how it works out. Have fun with the Maples. I liked then when I lived up north.
if its a decidios tree and you leaf trim it, in the spring it grow smaller leaves too.
im creating a red norway maple bonsai. i found it growing in my beds and its neat looking. i leaf trimed it 2 weks ago and the new leaves are apearing now... also can i use lizard bedding as a substate . it loks like sphagnum moss and on the package it says its a type of moss. im 15 so i can just go out and buy spagnum moss its caled "Zoo Med Terrarium Accents Humidifying Moss" look it upand tell what u think
