Funny how athiests love to pick jokes and insults at other religions, yet the moment somebody says their beliefs are the dumbest of all, they go nuts and get all offended. That's a prime example of dishing it out, but they can't take it themselves. Personally, why doesn't everyone shut the fuck up and enjoy your own beliefs? Athiests: Don't want to believe? Fine. No sweat off my skin. Just shut the fuck up. ;) Theists: Not everyone will believe what you do! Leave it alone already!
and its funny how atheists are always shitting on muslims, christians and jews for being offended. but then all trey had to do was say he's not an atheist to get them all worked up. what a bunch of hypocrites.
First off, that's overgeneralizing. Sure, some atheists got upset, but you don't think any Christians, Muslims, Scientologists, etc. got upset when they made fun of their religious beliefs? Of course they did. Also, he didn't JUST say he wasn't an atheist, he said that the idea that humans aren't here for any greater purpose is sillier than EVERY religious belief. That is incredibly fucking stupid. I still love Matt and Trey, but that statement is just stupid and arrogant.
I hate how both atheists& believers attack&get pissed at other people for believing something different from them.Ive noticed recently that atheists are the most belligerent bastards when it comes to making people think the way they do.it takes a lot of evidence on either side to convince me.science has not given me anything that proves without a doubt that there is no intelligent design.i dont see how anyone could say that they have enough evidence on either side.
@MyaChrisify atheists don't need to prove anything. the burden of proof is on the side that is making the assertion (that there is a god). the reason people believe there is not a god is because it makes no logical sense.
@soozin511 Atheist: There's no god Non-Atheist: Can you prove there's no god? Atheist: Pfft, can you prove there is a God? Non-Atheist: Well, can you prove there isn't? Atheist: Pfft, dude I don't need to prove anything Non-Atheist: Yes you do Atheist: Doesn't make sense to me, must not be true. Non-Atheist: That's the type of thinking you slam religious folk - Third Guy: Why does any of this matter?
@soozin511 Atheist: There's no god Christian God: Yes there is Atheist: Can you prove me wrong? I've got basic science to back me up. Christian: No you don't Atheist: Yes I do Atheist: You're wrong Christian: No, you're wrong! Atheist: You're stupid Christian: You're stupid Third Guy: Why are you still arguing about this? Does it really matter that much?
I agree with Tray. Many Atheist/Anti-Theist Think they have all the answers to everything. For me there whole lot more that we just dont know then what we do. To Rule out possibilities because it goes against your stupid little worldview is retarded. As someone once said "Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd."
@DowntownMayor it matters because people kill over this shit and they protect pedophiles using this crap. Do you support pedophiles getting away with fucking children? Do you support children being terrorized with the threat of burning in hell? I take these things very seriously, it's my life thats affected by religion and I believe none of it.
What the fuck? Of course I don't support pedophiles; or alot of things religion condones and breeds; but not every religious person is like this though. Not all atheists are smug douchebags, and not all religious people are fanatics who are terrible human beings. and people kill each other all sorts of things.
@MrROTDi never said any of those issues religion causes shouldn't matter, I was saying the argument of whether religion and atheism is right or wrong or whatever shouldn't matter, because it doesn't.
@MrROTDCatholic priests going around molesting children is a completely different matter all together; and I don't see why you had to go "Do you support pedophiles getting away with fucking children"
@MrROTD No of course I don;t, no right thinking person does, chill the fuck out but like I said, I said the meaning of existence and how we all got here shouldn't matter.
@soozin511 You said "atheists don't need to prove anything. The burden of proof is on the side that is making the assertion."
The burden of proof falls on both sides. You can't deny God's existance any more than you can prove it. I hear "the burden of proof" argument from Atheists all the time and its a weak argument. It completely levels the argument from both the Atheist and Christian (theist) viewpoint. You might as well be saying "I'm right, you're wrong, but I don't have to prove it."
@siskavard "you can't deny God's existance any more than you can prove it."
yes you can. if logically it doesn't make sense that a god exists it is reasonable to believe that there isn't one. like if someone asserts that there is an invisible person standing in the corner i don't have to prove there isn't one, because it is not reasonable to believe that there would be.
@siskavard what do you mean by this? i don't understand what you're trying to argue. of course i think i'm right. i don't think you understand that atheism is not the assertion that there is no God, it's simply the rejection of the claim that there is a God.
@MyaChrisify nice try, there's No evidence of God and plenty of evidence that religion is Bullshit, case closed, you're a primitive tard if you belive any religions. Yes I'm beligerant, I believe it's my duty to preach against religion because I'm sick of living by THIER rules and being subject to THIER moral beliefs. Can you understand why I hate religion?
@MyaChrisify I agree, except most Athiests aren't promoting truth, they are promoting doubt of religion...they don't claim to have undeniable proof...but they actually do have at least some evidence compared to religion...religion is the one trying to convince you, athiesm preaches doubt...athiests actually have a reason to be pissed when a space god has a role in politics and influences the laws that affect our lives
Atheism isn't a religion. Atheists aren't a group of any sort and they aren't united by beliefs, politics or anything. It's just a term for a person who doesn't believe in invisible all-powerful creator beings. It's not a belief, it's lack of belief in something specific.
If you don't believe that a feather is heavier than a train, people don't say that your religion is Afeatherheavierism. It would make just as much sense as saying Atheism is a religion, though.
@JJJMMM1 I ain't religious, but both Bible belchers and Athiests preach. They both talk about celestial truths, they both rigidly study their dogma, they both are ignorant, arrogant and downright antogonistic of anyone who doesn't view the world with the 'tuths' they perceive it. For all intense purposes Atheism is a relgion, and once again, the fact that you guys react to the obvious troll of calling you a religion, proves my point, both sides are reatarded.
"Not believing that something is" isn't a religion. It isn't "a side". If you can't understand this very simple concept, there's no point in trying to explain it to you. You're just a retarded Afeatherheavierist. Go study your dogma or something.
@JJJMMM1 Again, you're a deadset retard, I don't care one bit for way you want to believe, cause guess what not believing in something means you believe in something else. Lack of belief is a stupid argument when you don't believe that Gods excists, it means that you actually have a belief and one you are insistant on preaching to other people because you "know" you are right. How is that different from a religous person who "knows" they are right about god and preach about it?
And again, I am a troll, I know that by saying that "Athiesm is a religion and that your religion of Atheism is practiced by praying through bouts of sodomy and gayness, which, you caught cause you didn't accept Jesus into your heart" a retard out there is going to provide me with some fun by arguing a point I dont really care about. So go Buttfuck pray to your Spaghetti Jesus.
I wouldnt say its been disproven. Even St. Augustine said that Genisis doesnt need to be taken litarally. And as for the last comment thats exactyly my idea of God! Anyway I just want to say in oreder to avoid any arguements, that Im not one of these dick religious people that get angry if your views contratict mine.
anyway is there anywhere that i can find a non bias basic explaination of the universe? like any author where they dont try to explain or explain away God? im just trying to find my own answers without getting sucked into other pepoles beliefs.
theres gotta be some sort of spiritual side to life, where did all these spiritual stories come from? & why is it that every culture thousands of miles apart have some sort of spiritual concept?
people used to worship the sun and other natural occurences like rain because they thought it to be a god. now we know it is "only" a giant fusion reactor and the climate it causes on earth. as people became smarter, their knowledge about initially unexplicable events grew larger. imo, achieving new knowledge about the previously unknown is far more spiritually and intellectually fulfilling than clinging onto ancient worldviews that are already disproven (e.g. creationism)
The final bit there admittedly made me lose a bit of regard for the lads, but this is more out of the fact of their ignorance of the relevant sciences and seeming lack of desire to rectify this, rather than because they disagree with my view.
They're creators of a very funny show and that it what they should remain, and the show would invariably suffer if either of the guys ever got a more concrete grasp on whatever it is they (dis)believe.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Everything came from nothing and we're here....just because... Lol! Well said Trey!
How atheists can attack religion when they have no explanation of the beginning of existence is beyond me. See my previous post for an explanation as to why they do......
@IndrasBlade77 just because you came up with an explanation for the beginning of existence doesn't make you right... atheists don't need to have an alternative in order to show that current belief systems are wrong.
@soozin511 Well they sure aren't coming up with ideas themselves so if they don't have anything nice to say they shouldn't say anything at all. To each his own.
@IndrasBlade77 Science does have an explanation of the beginning of existence, both of the universe and life. Just because you don't understand it, doesn't make it untrue.
@elmstfreddie honestly though, not trying to get people up in arms on youtube, but just the thought of how little the odds were that anything considering life right now would be the way they are, it's just too much to calculate. like with 0 point energy, the way our lives just kind of slipped into the middle of everything, it's really tough to say we just happened
@xSxExSx1 there are many videos on the big bang on youtube and the internet. Dont wait for somebody on youtube to tell you. that just lazy. "Until you explain exactly what that explanation is right here on youtube, that sounds like a total cop out to me." why would you wait for someone to tell you?The information is out there. (sorry if Im sounding like a dick)
"Science knows it doesnt know everything otherwise it would stop"-Dara O'Briain
There's a ton of solid proofs. Some aspects are debated, but the general outline is well understood and the evidence is overwhelming. These are called theories because that's the correct scientific term. A theory in science is not a guess. Some examples:
Earth orbits around the Sun = a scientific theory. Humans reproduce sexually = a scientific theory. Species evolve and change over time = a scientific theory. Mayan pyramids were built by aliens = not a scientific theory.
@IndrasBlade77 Atleast they admit they don't know and are attempting to figure it out, rather than just making up some bullshit story to comfort people.
@TomasMikaX Atheism is a religion. It's a non theistic belief system. Atheist fanaticism is not a nonsensical phrase, it's perfectly logical, especially as Atheists are getting religiously fanatic.
@IndrasBlade77 It is not a belief system, atheists don't believe that there is a god. That is all there is to it. Atheism is a religion in the same way not playing football is a sport.
@zepbach1 Matt Stone is actully an athiest but just not an anti-religious one. They actully did poke fun at athiesm in there south park episodes 'go god go' and 'go god go XII'. They made fun of richard dawkins and the claim that religion causes all wars.
@TomasMikaX lol what's more ridiculous than religious fanatics are atheist fanatics. religions actually influence the majority of people positively. who the fuck are you to shove it in their faces and tell them otherwise?
personally im not affiliated to any religion or atheism.
@bballpsycho64 The reason is that the globalists implementing their world government need to destroy any religion that promotes allegiance to a God and not the state. This is why they're attacking morality, the family unit and the role of the patriarch, to destroy social cohesion and create allegiance to the state, not God or family to obtain maximum control of the population.
@YouTubricant I like the way those guys think. I totally get their logic of make fun of everyone and everything. The guys said they are libertarians. That's why you see them mock liberals as much as George Bush and other conservative figures.
I know it's old news but I still believe the only reason Tom Cruise got pissed over the in the closet episode was because it just "Made him look stupid"
Scientist also never ask someone to believe them on faith alone, instead we supply evidence gained through observations that supports our claims. This is the essence of science,it imposes rigorous scrutiny on any claims made which is something religion totally lacks. Most importantly, theories that are correct allow us to predict measurements or events prior to their occurrence. This again is something religion can not do.Science and religion are mutually exclusive and should never be compared.
@playapapapa23 You make a fine point, I agree completely. And as a lover of SP I am disappointed to hear Trey say what he says at the end there. I lost a lot of respect for the guy.
Don't bother arguing or trying to explain what you meant to bluegsp, he probably think Santa Claus is real, just because science hasn't disproved him. Oh and "Richard Dawkins is a moron"... the irony! This guy probably thinks he knows more than Stephen Hawking as well!
@10shinhan I didn't lose too much respect for him, he may be intelligent but I don't expect people to be knowledgeable about everything. Ignorance isn't necessarily bad it just means he doesn't understand basic scientific theory I mean shit there's a lot of things I'm ignorant about. What I lose respect for is when people ignore logic and persistently avoid addressing arguments so as to cling to uninformed beliefs. I have little respect for the ignorant that want to remain ignorant.
@10shinhan Coincidently enough I'm finishing graduate courses in general relativity and astrophysics meaning I have a far deeper understanding of the big bang and cosmology than I did when I had that argument. With that being said, based on observations of redshifted standard candles, the cosmic microwave background, gravitational lensing etc. I have to say they do support an expanding universe with a big bang singularity, whether it will collapse has yet to be determined.
I like Trey Parker but his last statement was massively ignorant. His first fallacy was comparing scientific theory with religious faith. Scientist will be the first to say we don't know why or where we come from but from we we've observed thus far we think it looks like this. There is massive evidence that Einstein's theory of general relativity is not pure nonsense but if new evidence arouse that suggested it was, we(scientist) would be the first to admit we were wrong.
@playapapapa23 Parkers last statement was not "massively ignorant". It is very insightful and open minded. You seem to be blinded by your Scientific faith. Science and religion are not "mutually exclusive" The Bible, Tora, Koran, etc are not scientific text books and anyone treating them as such in order to try to discredit them are setting up straw men. Science has failed to either explain the origin of life or disprove a "God". Trey is smart enough to recognize what we don't know.
@bluegsp Are you blind or do you just choose to ignore statements that address your attack on my comment?I clearly state that scientist don't know everything but create theories based on observations made through experimentation. You also don't seem to understand the meaning of the word faith.Faith is absolute trust in something with know proof.Scientist don't have absolute trust in anything and provide proof for the models we propose. No scientist has claimed absolute knowledge in the origin of
@playapapapa23 No, You have demonstrated faith with your comments about science. To call Trey "ignorant" is a false statement based on a faith that is not supported with any evidence. You presume to know more than you do. Trey is correctly pointing out that the Big Bang Theory is even more silly than any religious explanation of how we came into existence. It has not been proven and cannot be explained. You should follow Trey's lead and only acknowledge what you DO know.
@bluegsp At what point did I say I believed in the big bang theory and at what point did I say it was proved?I did claim justification for Einstein theory of relativity which proposes an expanding universe.Which is one of the criticisms Trey had in the video. So in that case I have demonstrated no faith.Observations and experimentations give credence to the validity of GR no faith required. And yes Trey is ignorant to scientific method and philosophy, the big bang is not a know all end all theory
@playapapapa23 At the point that you called Trey "massively ignorant", that is the point that you crossed the line into faith. There is no proof that the universe is expanding and originated from and explosion of nothingness. Just last week in Switzerland, they seem to have discovered subatomic particles that travel faster than the speed of light. If this is confirmed, Einstein's theory is out the window. you way under estimate Trey's intelligence and you seem to be the ignorant one here.
@bluegsp As of now Einstein's theories of SR and GR are measurable and observable that is a fact but its still just a theory, theories are modified and develop all the time that is the essence of science. If the neutrino experiment as Cern questions GR, scientist will debate experiment and modify if necessary. I still don't see why you think I've crossed into faith, I have not asked anyone to believe anything without evidence. At this point I don't even think you know what you're arguing.
@bluegsp Its just a model of reality based on observations that people are searching to prove. The whole approach of searching for evidence for the theory, allowing criticism, and proposing alternative theories is the scientific way. Religion does not do any of these things at all, therefore it is ignorant for Trey to say that the most ridiculous RELIGIOUS explanation is the big bang! Science and religion have nothing to do with each other and to say a scientific theory is religious is ignorant.
@playapapapa23 When you carry your "belief" of science beyond it's proven facts, you are dealing in faith. Trey was specifically talking about atheists who deny the possibility of a god and and use the Big Bang Theory as evidence and we only exist, "just cause". I doubt that you are a scientist, but if you are, you are a very bad one for making such an inaccurate and naive statement.
@bluegsp Again you say I've carried belief beyond proven fact, When did I do that?! I haven't made any claims about the validity of the big bang. And as far as relativity goes, science is a work in progress theories are constantly amended and updated Newton's theory of gravity was updated by Einstein this doesn't mean Newton was completely wrong it just means we need to modify. You also don't seem to understand what I'm arguing and have misinterpreted Trey's statement.
@playapapapa23 Do you have that poor of comprehension skills? I understand the phrase "massively ignorant" that you falsely used to describe Trey's comment (which, I in no way "misinterpreted"). For atheists, science is a religion they stand behind to denounce all other religions (Matt and Trey has addressed this in their "Go God Go" episode.) Maybe you can explain how 'in the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded" is not "silly" (if you can keep your mind from wandering)
@bluegsp I don't think you understand what ignorant means, Trey is clearly stating that scientific theory is religious which is ignorant to how scientific theory works,SouthPark is a TV show just because he made an episode in which atheist treat science like religion doesn't mean we actually do.Some might but I sure as hell don't and most atheist I know don't.You also keep arguing the validity of the big bang which I am not you don't seem to understand that.
@bluegsp every time you ask me about whether the big bang is true, you deviate from the argument at hand. This is the last thing I'll say because your head is clearly thick, for the last time scientific theory is not religious faith. If you think they're the same, you don't understand the scientific method and you don't understand faith which makes you ignorant.
@playapapapa23 I see you really do have a comprehension problem and that explains why you have such a problem comprehending a simple factual statement that the religious belief that "in the beginning there was nothing and then it exploded and we are here "just cause" is a silly religious belief and not supported by any factual evidence. Morons like Richard Dawkins are this religions biggest prophets and you clearly are a disciple among the faithful. I understand perfectly, you are confused.
@BeavisNButtheadRock I know there doesn't "have to be..." but what is the reason? "Just cause"? We were given a curios and inquisitive nature, why? how does that further natural selection? How and why are we here? And why do we care? Dogs and fish don't care, why do we? Science has not been able to answer that.
@bluegsp Well, the main reason we're here is to eat and fuck, that's it. But if you want a philosophical reason it's to just enjoy life and get the most out of it. Also, if you value life, that's why you should care. There's absolutely no reason why we should assume that there's a higher power because it's existance has never been demonstrated by scientific evidence.
@BeavisNButtheadRock Our very existence is pretty strong evidence of something out there. That is what Science has failed to explain.
why would we exist to eat and fuck? That doesn't make sense. You keep venturing into what Trey call's the "just cause" doctrine of atheism which is far more silly than any other religious doctrine out there.
@bluegsp No, life is evidence of life, it tell's you nothing about how it got here until you investigate. The natural is not evidence for the supernatural, it can't be. Our existance is evidence of our existance, nothing more. Also, you sound like you're anti science, but you're a conservative christian so that doesn't really surprise me. You do realize that you wouldn't even be typing on your computer if it wasn't for science? If we didn't have science we would still be in the dark ages.
@BeavisNButtheadRock I am not a conservative christian, you atheists always assume more than you know.
I am not anti science. I am anti atheists who belittle people of faith when they have no more information than anyone else. Like Trey says (and I concur) the idea that "in the beginning there was nothing and then it exploded and we are here "just cause" is the silliest of all explanations. It is the sign of a weak and lazy mind that does not want to explore the how and why of life.
@bluegsp No, your view is the explanation of a weak and lazy mind. Science is never 100% accurate on anything it does, and it has made some mistakes, but it's still the best and most reliable system for studying reality and our origins that we have. The most retarded and ridiculous explanation is that everything was created by magic by an invisible man of no origin. Also, Trey is intelligent on many things, but in this video he was just being ignorant. BTW, Matt Stone is an atheist now.
@BeavisNButtheadRock My "view" is not weak and lazy. I admit I don't know. I am not attacking science, I am merely pointing out what science doesn't say. And it does not say how we got here, or why we are here or that there is no God. Trey is not "ignorant', he is merely stating facts, "there is so much we don't know" and he is right, the most retard and ridiculous explanation is "just cause". Your adherence to it and your many false assumptions prove that you have the weak and lazy mind.
@bluegsp First of all, science doesn't say that there's no god, the majority of scientists just happen to be atheists. Second of all, science HAS explained how we got here, we came about through abiogenesis and evolution, but you keep on denying those. Third, he's not stating facts, he's merely stating his own ignorant worldview, and you calling it a fact doesn't make it a fact, get over it.
@BeavisNButtheadRock 1st of all, I just said that 'science doesn't say that there is no God", you have very poor comprehension skills. Science does NOT say how we got here. Abiogenesis is not science so much as a pre conceived philosophy, not supported by science. (in other words, "faith") It is a fact that we don't know where we came from, how or why we are here. That is a truth that ignorant atheists like you cannot come to grips with.
@bluegsp Abiogenesis is not a philosophy you fucking moron, it's been demonstarted by scientific facts, don't believe me? Look up the miller- urey experiments in 1953. Are you even listening to me? Because all you're doing is saying the same thing over and over again. All you're doing is calling every single thing scientists do "faith". Science HAS gvien us an explanation but you CHOOSE to reject it because it conflicts with your dogma, you're either a troll, or just incredibly stupid.
@BeavisNButtheadRock It has not been demonstrated, dumb fuck, miller-urey produced amino acids from water and gas. Not life. Even Miller concedes that it had little if any relevance to life. (again, you rely on "faith")
You are the one that continues to express faith and disregard the scientific realities.
You are the one who said, "life has no meaning" and now you are contradicting yourself. You have made a lot of false assumptions and wrong conclusions. (Typical of a faith based religion)
@bluegsp Yes it has you stupid motherfucker. The experiments didn't create life, but they showed how the building blocks of life can form from chemicals. It's not faith, it's actual evidence. Also once again, life does have a meaning, it's just not the reason you want. What scientific realities? That we were created by magic by an invisible man? You're a complete fucking moron, I'm amazed that you even know how to type and turn on a computer. I'm done discussing with you, no one can be this dumb.
@BeavisNButtheadRock Miller-urey, is a flawed experiment that is irrelevent to the origins of life. It is your faith, not scientific evidence that has you making these claims.
So which is it, life has meaning or no meaning, you can't seem to make up your mind. You have no idea what reason I "want", another faith driven false assumption.
You say you are "done" and yet you leave another post of lies and false assumptions. You are a radical atheist extremist. What a dumb shit
@BeavisNButtheadRock I don't blame you, most people become enraged when their faith is challenged or their messiah is questioned. You apply deeper meaning to the miller-urey experiment than the scientists themselves, Its like the movie Life of Brian, and miller keeps saying "I'm not the messiah" and you say "only the true messiah would deny his own divinity" and miller say' "well what chance does that give me?" XD
@bluegsp How long do you plan on keeping this up? Really? I knew you were a troll from the beginning. The only reason I keep responding is because I know you want the last word.
@BeavisNButtheadRock Hadn't thought about it, really. I guess as long as you keep sending me messages I will keep replying. (its the polite thing to do) besides, your stupidity makes me laugh. XD
@bluegsp Faith is defined as a belief without any evidence, scientists don't just latch on to whatever feels good and then goes with that, it's not a democratic process. Scientists come up with ideas that work and can be proven by evidence, therefore it's not faith, so please get your head out of your ass.

MrROTD 3 weeks ago
@soozin511 You just contradicted yourself.
siskavard 1 week ago
@siskavard how?
soozin511 1 week ago
@soozin511 You said "atheists don't need to prove anything. The burden of proof is on the side that is making the assertion."
The burden of proof falls on both sides. You can't deny God's existance any more than you can prove it. I hear "the burden of proof" argument from Atheists all the time and its a weak argument. It completely levels the argument from both the Atheist and Christian (theist) viewpoint. You might as well be saying "I'm right, you're wrong, but I don't have to prove it."
siskavard 1 week ago
@siskavard "you can't deny God's existance any more than you can prove it."
yes you can. if logically it doesn't make sense that a god exists it is reasonable to believe that there isn't one. like if someone asserts that there is an invisible person standing in the corner i don't have to prove there isn't one, because it is not reasonable to believe that there would be.
soozin511 1 week ago
@soozin511 ..and now you've made a blanket statement that you are right about your assumptions, the same way a Christian would!
siskavard 1 week ago
@siskavard what do you mean by this? i don't understand what you're trying to argue. of course i think i'm right. i don't think you understand that atheism is not the assertion that there is no God, it's simply the rejection of the claim that there is a God.

Wow, a battle of the religions, Atheism vs Christianity, is it any wonder given both groups that retard wins?
ProfessorPabs 1 month ago
@ProfessorPabs
JJJMMM1 1 month ago
@JJJMMM1 I ain't religious, but both Bible belchers and Athiests preach. They both talk about celestial truths, they both rigidly study their dogma, they both are ignorant, arrogant and downright antogonistic of anyone who doesn't view the world with the 'tuths' they perceive it. For all intense purposes Atheism is a relgion, and once again, the fact that you guys react to the obvious troll of calling you a religion, proves my point, both sides are reatarded.
ProfessorPabs 1 month ago
@ProfessorPabs
"Not believing that something is" isn't a religion. It isn't "a side". If you can't understand this very simple concept, there's no point in trying to explain it to you. You're just a retarded Afeatherheavierist. Go study your dogma or something.
JJJMMM1 1 month ago
@JJJMMM1 Again, you're a deadset retard, I don't care one bit for way you want to believe, cause guess what not believing in something means you believe in something else. Lack of belief is a stupid argument when you don't believe that Gods excists, it means that you actually have a belief and one you are insistant on preaching to other people because you "know" you are right. How is that different from a religous person who "knows" they are right about god and preach about it?
ProfessorPabs 1 month ago
And again, I am a troll, I know that by saying that "Athiesm is a religion and that your religion of Atheism is practiced by praying through bouts of sodomy and gayness, which, you caught cause you didn't accept Jesus into your heart" a retard out there is going to provide me with some fun by arguing a point I dont really care about. people used to worship the sun and other natural occurences like rain because they thought it to be a god. now we know it is "only" a giant fusion reactor and the climate it causes on earth. as people became smarter, their knowledge about initially unexplicable events grew larger. imo, achieving new knowledge about the previously unknown is far more spiritually and intellectually fulfilling than clinging onto ancient worldviews that are already disproven (e.g. creationism)

for the matter of "God":
imagine we "discover" God and it turns out He/She/It is just another natural force like energy, matter and anti-matter?
for the matter of "The Answer" (42, btw ;):
in case the universe is infinite, our questions about it will be infinite and there will be no final answer. and does there even have to be an answer?

There's a ton of solid proofs. Some aspects are debated, but the general outline is well understood and the evidence is overwhelming. These are called theories because that's the correct scientific term. A theory in science is not a guess. Some examples:
Earth orbits around the Sun = a scientific theory. Humans reproduce sexually = a scientific theory. Species evolve and change over time = a scientific theory. Mayan pyramids were built by aliens = not a scientific theory.

This again is something religion can not do.Science and religion are mutually exclusive and should never be compared.
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@playapapapa23 You make a fine point, I agree completely. And as a lover of SP I am disappointed to hear Trey say what he says at the end there. I lost a lot of respect for the guy.
Don't bother arguing or trying to explain what you meant to bluegsp, he probably think Santa Claus is real, just because science hasn't disproved him. Oh and "Richard Dawkins is a moron"... the irony! This guy probably thinks he knows more than Stephen Hawking as well!
10shinhan 3 months ago
@10shinhan I didn't lose too much respect for him, he may be intelligent but I don't expect people to be knowledgeable about everything. Ignorance isn't necessarily bad it just means he doesn't understand basic scientific theory I mean shit there's a lot of things I'm ignorant about. What I lose respect for is when people ignore logic and persistently avoid addressing arguments so as to cling to uninformed beliefs. I have little respect for the ignorant that want to remain ignorant.
playapapapa23 3 months ago
@10shinhan Coincidently enough I'm finishing graduate courses in general relativity and astrophysics meaning I have a far deeper understanding of the big bang and cosmology than I did when I had that argument. With that being said, based on observations of redshifted standard candles, the cosmic microwave background, gravitational lensing etc. I have to say they do support an expanding universe with a big bang singularity, whether it will collapse has yet to be determined.
playapapapa23 3 months ago
I like Trey Parker but his last statement was massively ignorant. His first fallacy was comparing scientific theory with religious faith. Scientist will be the first to say we don't know why or where we come from but from we we've observed thus far we think it looks like this. There is massive evidence that Einstein's theory of general relativity is not pure nonsense but if new evidence arouse that suggested it was, we(scientist) would be the first to admit we were wrong.
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@playapapapa23 Parkers last statement was not "massively ignorant". It is very insightful and open minded. You seem to be blinded by your Scientific faith. Science and religion are not "mutually exclusive" The Bible, Tora, Koran, etc are not scientific text books and anyone treating them as such in order to try to discredit them are setting up straw men. Science has failed to either explain the origin of life or disprove a "God". Trey is smart enough to recognize what we don't know.
bluegsp 5 months ago
@bluegsp Are you blind or do you just choose to ignore statements that address your attack on my comment?I clearly state that scientist don't know everything but create theories based on observations made through experimentation. You also don't seem to understand the meaning of the word faith.Faith is absolute trust in something with know proof.Scientist don't have absolute trust in anything and provide proof for the models we propose. No scientist has claimed absolute knowledge in the origin of
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@playapapapa23 No, You have demonstrated faith with your comments about science. To call Trey "ignorant" is a false statement based on a faith that is not supported with any evidence. You presume to know more than you do. Trey is correctly pointing out that the Big Bang Theory is even more silly than any religious explanation of how we came into existence. It has not been proven and cannot be explained. You should follow Trey's lead and only acknowledge what you DO know.
bluegsp 5 months ago
@bluegsp At what point did I say I believed in the big bang theory and at what point did I say it was proved?I did claim justification for Einstein theory of relativity which proposes an expanding universe.Which is one of the criticisms Trey had in the video. So in that case I have demonstrated no faith.Observations and experimentations give credence to the validity of GR no faith required. And yes Trey is ignorant to scientific method and philosophy, the big bang is not a know all end all theory
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@playapapapa23 At the point that you called Trey "massively ignorant", that is the point that you crossed the line into faith. There is no proof that the universe is expanding and originated from and explosion of nothingness. Just last week in Switzerland, they seem to have discovered subatomic particles that travel faster than the speed of light. If this is confirmed, Einstein's theory is out the window. you way under estimate Trey's intelligence and you seem to be the ignorant one here.
bluegsp 5 months ago
@bluegsp As of now Einstein's theories of SR and GR are measurable and observable that is a fact but its still just a theory, theories are modified and develop all the time that is the essence of science. If the neutrino experiment as Cern questions GR, scientist will debate experiment and modify if necessary. I still don't see why you think I've crossed into faith, I have not asked anyone to believe anything without evidence. At this point I don't even think you know what you're arguing.
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@bluegsp Its just a model of reality based on observations that people are searching to prove. The whole approach of searching for evidence for the theory, allowing criticism, and proposing alternative theories is the scientific way. Religion does not do any of these things at all, therefore it is ignorant for Trey to say that the most ridiculous RELIGIOUS explanation is the big bang! Science and religion have nothing to do with each other and to say a scientific theory is religious is ignorant.
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@playapapapa23 When you carry your "belief" of science beyond it's proven facts, you are dealing in faith. Trey was specifically talking about atheists who deny the possibility of a god and and use the Big Bang Theory as evidence and we only exist, "just cause". I doubt that you are a scientist, but if you are, you are a very bad one for making such an inaccurate and naive statement.
bluegsp 5 months ago
@bluegsp Again you say I've carried belief beyond proven fact, When did I do that?! I haven't made any claims about the validity of the big bang. And as far as relativity goes, science is a work in progress theories are constantly amended and updated Newton's theory of gravity was updated by Einstein this doesn't mean Newton was completely wrong it just means we need to modify. You also don't seem to understand what I'm arguing and have misinterpreted Trey's statement.
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@playapapapa23 Do you have that poor of comprehension skills? I understand the phrase "massively ignorant" that you falsely used to describe Trey's comment (which, I in no way "misinterpreted"). For atheists, science is a religion they stand behind to denounce all other religions (Matt and Trey has addressed this in their "Go God Go" episode.) Maybe you can explain how 'in the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded" is not "silly" (if you can keep your mind from wandering)
bluegsp 5 months ago
@bluegsp I don't think you understand what ignorant means, Trey is clearly stating that scientific theory is religious which is ignorant to how scientific theory works,SouthPark is a TV show just because he made an episode in which atheist treat science like religion doesn't mean we actually do.Some might but I sure as hell don't and most atheist I know don't.You also keep arguing the validity of the big bang which I am not you don't seem to understand that.
playapapapa23 5 months ago
@bluegsp every time you ask me about whether the big bang is true, you deviate from the argument at hand. This is the last thing I'll say because your head is clearly thick, for the last time scientific theory is not religious faith. If you think they're the same, you don't understand the scientific method and you don't understand faith which makes you ignorant.
playapapapa23 5 months ago

Science has not been able to answer that.
bluegsp 4 months ago
@bluegsp Well, the main reason we're here is to eat and fuck, that's it. But if you want a philosophical reason it's to just enjoy life and get the most out of it. Also, if you value life, that's why you should care. There's absolutely no reason why we should assume that there's a higher power because it's existance has never been demonstrated by scientific evidence.
BeavisNButtheadRock 4 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock Our very existence is pretty strong evidence of something out there. That is what Science has failed to explain.
why would we exist to eat and fuck? That doesn't make sense. You keep venturing into what Trey call's the "just cause" doctrine of atheism which is far more silly than any other religious doctrine out there.
bluegsp 4 months ago
@bluegsp No, life is evidence of life, it tell's you nothing about how it got here until you investigate. The natural is not evidence for the supernatural, it can't be. Our existance is evidence of our existance, nothing more. Also, you sound like you're anti science, but you're a conservative christian so that doesn't really surprise me. You do realize that you wouldn't even be typing on your computer if it wasn't for science? If we didn't have science we would still be in the dark ages.
BeavisNButtheadRock 4 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock I am not a conservative christian, you atheists always assume more than you know.
I am not anti science. I am anti atheists who belittle people of faith when they have no more information than anyone else. Like Trey says (and I concur) the idea that "in the beginning there was nothing and then it exploded and we are here "just cause" is the silliest of all explanations. It is the sign of a weak and lazy mind that does not want to explore the how and why of life.
bluegsp 4 months ago
@bluegsp No, your view is the explanation of a weak and lazy mind. Science is never 100% accurate on anything it does, and it has made some mistakes, but it's still the best and most reliable system for studying reality and our origins that we have. The most retarded and ridiculous explanation is that everything was created by magic by an invisible man of no origin. Also, Trey is intelligent on many things, but in this video he was just being ignorant. BTW, Matt Stone is an atheist now.
BeavisNButtheadRock 4 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock My "view" is not weak and lazy. I admit I don't know. I am not attacking science, I am merely pointing out what science doesn't say. And it does not say how we got here, or why we are here or that there is no God. Trey is not "ignorant', he is merely stating facts, "there is so much we don't know" and he is right, the most retard and ridiculous explanation is "just cause". Your adherence to it and your many false assumptions prove that you have the weak and lazy mind.
bluegsp 4 months ago
@bluegsp First of all, science doesn't say that there's no god, the majority of scientists just happen to be atheists. Second of all, science HAS explained how we got here, we came about through abiogenesis and evolution, but you keep on denying those. Third, he's not stating facts, he's merely stating his own ignorant worldview, and you calling it a fact doesn't make it a fact, get over it.
BeavisNButtheadRock 4 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock 1st of all, I just said that 'science doesn't say that there is no God", you have very poor comprehension skills. Science does NOT say how we got here. Abiogenesis is not science so much as a pre conceived philosophy, not supported by science. (in other words, "faith") It is a fact that we don't know where we came from, how or why we are here. That is a truth that ignorant atheists like you cannot come to grips with.
bluegsp 4 months ago
@bluegsp Abiogenesis is not a philosophy you fucking moron, it's been demonstarted by scientific facts, don't believe me? Look up the miller- urey experiments in 1953. Are you even listening to me? Because all you're doing is saying the same thing over and over again. All you're doing is calling every single thing scientists do "faith". Science HAS gvien us an explanation but you CHOOSE to reject it because it conflicts with your dogma, you're either a troll, or just incredibly stupid.
BeavisNButtheadRock 4 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock It has not been demonstrated, dumb fuck, miller-urey produced amino acids from water and gas. Not life. Even Miller concedes that it had little if any relevance to life. (again, you rely on "faith")
You are the one that continues to express faith and disregard the scientific realities.
You are the one who said, "life has no meaning" and now you are contradicting yourself. You have made a lot of false assumptions and wrong conclusions. (Typical of a faith based religion)
bluegsp 4 months ago
@bluegsp Yes it has you stupid motherfucker. The experiments didn't create life, but they showed how the building blocks of life can form from chemicals. It's not faith, it's actual evidence. Also once again, life does have a meaning, it's just not the reason you want. What scientific realities? That we were created by magic by an invisible man? You're a complete fucking moron, I'm amazed that you even know how to type and turn on a computer. I'm done discussing with you, no one can be this dumb.
BeavisNButtheadRock 4 months ago
@BeavisNButtheadRock Miller-urey, is a flawed experiment that is irrelevent to the origins of life. It is your faith, not scientific evidence that has you making these claims.
So which is it, life has meaning or no meaning, you can't seem to make up your mind. You have no idea what reason I "want", another faith driven false assumption.
You say you are "done" and yet you leave another post of lies and false assumptions. You are a radical atheist extremist. What a dumb shit

@bluegsp You really are a fucking idiot, get over the fact that I'm done dicussing with you .

@bluegsp Faith is defined as a belief without any evidence, scientists don't just latch on to whatever feels good and then goes with that, it's not a democratic process. Scientists come up with ideas that work and can be proven by evidence, therefore it's not faith, so please get your head out of your ass.
