He played one of his very last shows in my hometown. I wasn´t there but friends told me that he was already pretty down. I wasn´t a bates show- he sung and played acoustic guitar there...

How long before his death was that, do you still know? And in which way did he seem pretty down?

6 months before he died, he had fallen into the stairs when he was drunk and hit his head pretty badly. After that, he's never been the same. I think his brain was injured and a bit destroyed by alcohol. We all saw him going down, sinking into depression; awful.
