    YEAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!

  • OMG... this blows my mind seeing the different cameras' views all together. wow.

  • damn i love da fuckiin powerslide !!!! :P

  • classic Who with 6 camera views

  • 00:30 That's a good american accent he's doing. XD

  • the one on the middle right was the one used on whos better whos best

  • John's bass sounds really good... probably the most underrated bass player of all time.

  • I agree with ya!

  • @pswallace wow, you really think he is underrated? who else is there?

  • @pswallace Wouldn't exactly call Entwistle underrated. I would say, he's widly considered the greatest of all time, a title he fully deserves.

  • They fucking rule the roost.

  • 8:28 - the greatest moment in the whole rock'n'roll history! Long Live the WHO!!

  • That was fuckin amazing, thanks for uploading.

  • awesome song!

  • The Who-> ARE rock music

  • Wow. That is amazing. I always love how John takes a step back when Pete jumps in front of him. This is how it should be seen! Thanks!

  • I'd love to upload my full 13-min edit of this in HD, but I'd like to keep the viewcount / comments, too. Any pointers, YouTubers?

  • Of course, by this time, they weren't playing to Keith's drums anyway. His sweat was rotting the chains off of the kick pedals.

  • No, bollocks, the sync is off a tick. Otherwise, nice footage and the "kids will be finished" nip is stellar.

  • For both these videos, I synced it at the clapper board at the start (See 00:23 of the Baba video). Somewhere on the DVD it's mentioned that one of their film telecine machines was down or running slow or something like that, in reference to the WGFA footage. Furthermore portions of the lightshow were filmed sans audience the next day, and there were some bass & drum overdubs. Not so much on the Baba video, and that's why it's appears more 'spot-on'. Cheers & thanks! :)

  • @DaveDaranjo oh man, I was so disappointed that the light show footage was not in this... of course I cheered up when the Moon footage started up again. Thanks so much for posting this... it is one of the most incredible rock footage projects to me, I wish someone would write a book just on this particular song and this Shepperton footage.

it was great to see all the PT slide footage...

  • Good job,Nice sync!

  • I heard the Who at the Astrodome in Houston in '86. The acoustics were not too good. But at the very end from the solo Synthesizer organ sound to Townshends guitar you could Really hear a rock down sound I won't forget.

  • Not in '86 you didn't mate.

  • After Live aid in '85,they didn't do anything till the '89 Tommy tour.

  • September 1989 -Houston Astrodome. I wanted to fucking go to that show!

  • 8:26-8:32 best Pete Townsend moment ever!

  • "those kids will be finished, they'll have nothing to live for."

  • THE BASS SOUNDS GREAT ON THIS VERSION.

  • I disagree, I don't like that piano sound Entwistle got when he shifted over to carbon-fibre active basses.

  • i love it me!-take care mate

  • Not Liking The Who Is A SIN!!!!!

  • This vid is really amazing! Although the Who sang Hope I Die Before Get Old, I feel I am lucky to be able to live long enough to watch this vid in such a way!

  • is there any chance you could find the multiple camera angles for the who are you recording? i would love to see keith doing those fills in the middle instead of pete on piano

  • unlikely. . . it wasn't on the special features, Jeff Stein retains that footage I'd guess!

  • the people demmand more entwistle

  • This video is amazing. Thanks so much!

Just wish it were higher resolution. Oh well. Can't really do anything about, that...

  • 8:27! OMG! The Scream! You can actually SEE Pete doing his jump! The Who have never been better!

  • That was GREAT!!! So much energy...I was panting just watching it!

  • you need to go to the gym

  • Oh man...thanks so much for putting this up. I've thought about how cool it would be to see all the angles at once, but didn't know how. What editing program did you use?

  • Thanks man. I edit on Final Cut Pro.

  • Wow; great idea and nicely synced. It actually makes me a little dizzy...but in a pleasant, "I Can't Explain" sort of way. ;D Thanks!

(By the way, it seems that you can no longer upload 10-plus minute videos with a Director account, either :( .)

  • I was watching in the Special Features of this DVD that there were many, many different angles and takes of WGFA and their original sync machine (whatever it's called) may have been faulty. This becomes most apparent during the light-show sequence. I think my Baba O'Riley edit syncs more perfectly, but god is WGFA fun.

  • It's from when you could post videos over 10 minutes. (A while back). Could you upload this to another website and post a link here? thanks :)

  • how come there's 3 angles 4 Pete?

  • Holy... shit... that... is... the single most... FUCKING AMAZING video I have seen! An instant 5 stars, and 500 if I could.

  • great! thanks for this. I have the DVD, but I think mine doesn't have that special feature... :S

  • I can't help you, pero el video está muy bueno.

  • Thats crazy man!!!! Never would

ve thought of it. So simple and so woodstock!

ps - to post longer you have to get a directors account

  • I'd like to post my full, 13-minute edit of this, which includes all the footage from the heads and tails of the camera angles. I've seen other videos on YouTube that are more than 10-minutes long. How do they get online?
