thanks so much- i might have already commented etc,, and thanked you- but OH! THANKS AGAIN!!! for posting this great voice-talent-witness for GOd etc... love her voice and the creator who she sings for!! =-)
I saw Kim open for Amy Grant on the Heart in Motion tour (on my 21st birthday)....that's how I became a fan. Love this clip. I really need to find a used copy of Brave Heart on CD, or see if any place sells it in MP3 format....all I have is my old cassette.
Aaah, Kim. Loved her first couple records! Then took a page outta Kathy Triccoli's book she went the boring praise & worship route. Those women rocked.
Funny, I just found that she's rocking a bit again thru a video on here. Yes, Broken seems to be a fusion of rock and worship. Good for her. Looks like she's doing to good work with women. Too bad it's affiliated with the evil Focus on the Family.
@kshavo I got that one through her website...yes..she went back to her earlier sound. She certainly rocked on this one. THere is a song from her Brave Heart release "In my LIfe," wow what a great song. Kim you rock girl.
Otter - have to agree with you. The first three cds from KIm rocked. Although I do own her whole cd catalog, the first three are the ones I keep going back to. She did however, release a new on available in her website which is almost as good as her early releases.
Oh, funny thing is I saw her do 2 shows at Kentucky Kingdom in '92, the year of this video. She was wearing that cool skirt. She's a wonderful singer, and now I realize even more how much she rocks. Where did the years go! LOL
I got into Christian radio in the late '80s/early '90s and Brave Heart, esp. Mysterious Ways was very powerful to me. Plus of course it rocked. I guess the CCM people would call it crossover or secular but ... such positive lyrics!
I was singing this song to myself today, Googling the lyrics online when I realized, duh, I have the cassette 20 feet away.
Had to return to see this video again. I have her cd with this song. I checked out her web site and ordered a new cd of hers "Broken Thing." I wait with much anticipation for it to arrive.
Does any one have video of her performing "Black Shirts" and or "Crossroad." Those are two of her more rockin' songs.
I have some video of her from when her first CD came out. It's an interview and music, it's awesome to hear her talk, it was such an exciting time in her career!!
wow!!...I've always loved Kim Hill since her first cd release. This is the first time I ever saw anything of her "live."...thanks for posting the video.
