How does the gospel conquer the sin of pornography?

God please help me to understand your love so I may stay away from pornography. I struggle with this so much. I'm in highschool and I have 1 brother, no girls. I feel guilty when I give into this sin. Please pray for me

The bible in Psalms 119:11 says..." Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against Thee. " This is one of the biblical ways of how a person can conquer the sin and addiction of pornography. Another biblical way is 2 Timothy 2:22 which says...." FLEE also youthful lusts : but follow righteousness, faith, charity (love) and peace with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart." It means to totally avoid & run away from pornography, not giving it any opportunity to tempt you.

GodKillerAtheist, if we were basing our beliefs on the same standards you do, obviously not Scripture, then I suppose pornography wouldn't be a sin.

However, if your standard for what is right and wrong is God's perfect, unchanging standard that He has revealed to us through His perfect Son and through Scripture, then you can't honestly deny that pornography is wrong. Jesus said that if a man even looks at a woman in lust, he has commited adultery with her in his heart (Matt. 5:27).
