i'm from mass and was stationed at loring afb (limestone)in the 80's . me and my girl moved to milo last year. but you cant beat anything north of bangor . love houlton
Houlton offers lots of community events, fewer but friendlier people, lots of blue ski and recreation. No crime, people help you, care about you here.
I think that Northern Maine is great. I am a city boy who is tired of urban living and all the problems that come with living in a city. I am working in Finance and will soon be entering G-school. After that I want to move to Northern Maine to live, meet someone special and start a family. What towns do you recommend me to visit during my next trip up north. (question mark key is broken)I have a slight foreign accent, will this be a problem for me living there.
I dont think having an accent is a problem. Its the US, everyone has an accent. I live in texas and would love to move up there if i could find my line of work. The winters would probably be a little of a learning curve though. If i were to move to maine i would have an accent as well. LOL.
@jerranoia I'm from East Texas, Lufkin actually, (I'm in San Antonio now) but my wife and I just went to Maine for vacation. I plan to live there soon. I loved it. I went to visit some friends in Pittsburgh PA, and I was ordering food there and the waitress looked at me funny and asked where I was from. I do have a heavy drawl.
wow we love it there we are from sunny fl! but we have a home in bancroft so we travel to Houlton quite a bit!! nice video we will be there in september!! adrienne & Len from fl
OMG. This makes me so sad. ;_; When I saw the bridge and the boy in the boot, I nearly cried.
...I miss Houlton. I moved 5 years ago, at age 8. I remember the Rollerama, the place where they used to sell pokemon cards... Midnight Madness, Houlton Elementary, etc.
My house was 35 Highland Avenue. There's a mural of me as a baby painted on the front barn... I wonder if it's still there.
I know,I moved away from Houlton recently and I already miss it especially midnight madness that was always so much fun but I plan on moving back there after i graduat.thanks for the video it brings back a lot of good memories
