Mammalian brains are similar across species. Majority of components are there, however anatomical locations may vary along with the mass and how elaborate some of the "systems" have evolved to be. Regardless of how complex human cognition is, issues regarding sleep and learning are primitive.

Considering I rarely sleep a sound 4 to 6 hrs at anytime would explain alot! Sleep deprivation is a bitch!
