  • Nas, Lupe, Pac >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

  • I'm a white man from Australia. But Lupe is my favourite artist!!

  • i feel like Lupe's style has changed so much and he doesn't make songs like this anymore. Lasers could not touch The Cool or Food and Liquor. I hope he goes back to music like this..

  • 56ppl thought their head phones were broke when the song started

  • Can You guys stop comparing artists to artists? Just STFU and listen to this great music. All the real hip hop artists are great in their own way. If everyone tried to have a certain style i would be fucken gay like mainstream right now.

  • lupe=modern tupac

  • Feel like its the only thing that keeps me going

  • can we quit comparing rappers and just enjoy this great song

  • can someone tell me why this song is called both "hurt me soul" and "no place to go?"

  • remind me again why this song didn't win any awards....

  • @Kozthgan29 cuz the world is all fucked up, this is an alltime great song in hip hop history

  • Man this song makes thinks about all the world problems

  • @rtlkn thats the point lol

  • I'm gonna barge in real quick to this Tupac and Lupe thing..

y'all act like no one will EVER be better than Pac. like aight, he came before Lu and is one of the founding fathers of hip hop... Why does that matter so much? Michael Jordan didn't invent basketball, but look he's the greatest to ever play the game. Listen, I respect everybody's opinion, and yes. Pac put his heart and soul into the mic like no other, but believe it or not, Lupe is flat out the greatest lyricist of all time.

  • @hnoors You make a really good point, and I agree with on everything 100%. I just hate when people stack artists against one another... that was the point I was trying to make.

  • @hnoors check out Shad, k-OS, or Vinnie Paz then see whos the greatest lyricist :P

  • @hnoors or even Mos Def or Talib Kweli

  • @hnoors Dude, Vakill is better than Lupe lyrically. Armor of God, Worst Fears Confirmed, and The Darkest Cloud. You also seem to forget that Lupe is a complaete pussy. He released Lasers, it flopped, he blamed it on Atlanta, and then he released Friend of the People, which had a similar sound, which is proof that Lupe tripped all of his fans, which like it or not is a bitch move. Once again, Vakill is still better than Lupe. His punchlines probably go over your head.

  • @hnoors Yea buddy, and before he replies, hnoors understands that better will come, intelligence removing the dumb! <3 lupe, b.o.b all city chess and everyone on the planet bringing love to the light! love you all! let's all walk each other home in peace.

  • ONE OF THE BEST RAPPERS EVER! YUP, THIS ALBUM RIGHT HERE TAKES ME TO CHURCH!

  • Happy Birthday Lu!!

  • LUPE FIASCO'S BIRTHDAY EVERYONE, SHOW THE MAN SOME LOVE!

  • It is sooooooooooooooooooooo refreshing to listen to music like this in this day and age. All is not lost

  • Lupe is no where near tupac!

  • my personnal favorite song of all time .

  • Comment removed

  • Lupe at his best. Just listen how he has to catch his breath after every bar in the first verse.

  • I love Lupe as well..............

  • After paying attention to Lupe's lyrics, creativeness and use of words, all I did was to clap my hands. This is unlike what the average mainstream rappers are saying in their works. I think Nas must be smiling hearing Lupe's realness here. Big ups to all rappers that has taken it upon themselves to make classics that did not only address the ills of the society but also promoted and tried to give a good name to real hip hop. Much love and regards Mr. Jaco...

  • Check out my freestyle on my chann

  • what a fucking dope song

  • U cnt even ryme dush

  • No doubt one of Lupe's best album.

Keep a look out for "Food & Liquor II"

Lupe Fiasco shows you a little preview/intro to F&L2.

    Check my channel out.

  • łapka srapka ;p

  • Y were ppl comparon Lowkey to lupe

  • 1:38 to 2:00 goldd

  • @CLOVERCITYY15 dam right bro, Jay Z sucks the devils dick

  • 1:04

  • Really night and day for lupe if you compare is older work to now

  • @KrissCrossK Thats kid cudi

  • Daammmnnnn, this song is boss

  • my personal opinion, lupe is a improved tupac.

  • @concordlmao bullshit your comparing shoes with gloves

  • @concordlmao Comparing 2 different generations. Smh.

  • @concordlmao dont get me wrong, lupes my over all favourite, more lyrical.but he cant touch pac when it comes to emotion, plus pac came before and influenced lupe and most of the concious artists out there like kendrick lamar, immortal technique ect. Plus tupac was putting out a positive message with the dark pastels he was given, songs like keep ya head up, me against the world, brendas gotta babey, white mans world, are so influential to the concious hip hop scene, there are others i forgot

  • @mypenfires i know, tupac is my third fave after eminem and lupe, but i just think lupe can spread to a bigger area of people, like this, and lupe covers all the world problems, where as tupac only covered the ghetto and gangsta bits, dont get me wrong though, tupac is a big inspiration for me

  • @concordlmao Tupac covered every realm of the world, please listen to every song and not just a few...........TUPAC is the Modern GOD!

  • @ashantimyidol ´Modern God? what?

  • @concordlmao oml dnt make me slap you

  • @MrMusicdot through a keyboard? scared.

  • @concordlmao I never understood why people held so much esteem for Tupac...

  • @PolarSmoke i can, he was the first to take it away from just gangsta rap, he had more meaning, but he still had a lot of songs that werent that great

  • Comment removed

  • @concordlmao I realize it's just an opinion, but that means I can state mine too right? Okay cool, first off I'de like to say Lupe is an artist to be recognized and has talent no doubt. However you need to be more careful comparing him with Tupac. Their styles were wayy different since Tupac rapped more about hood struggles and east/west coast warfare and Lupe is our generations version of down to earth tunes. Tupac is a founding father of hip hop and Lupe is an example of that, not vis-a-versa

  • @Unusuallygreat0 i understand where you coming from and i respect what you said, and i agree with what you said, but thats your opinion and this is mine

  • @concordlmao No one will be mad at you for saying that. Its just a shame he doesnt get the credit he deserves

  • @concordlmao Come on there would be no positive rap without 2pac. 2pac was first the to bring both realms of the real world into rap good and bad, while truly coming from the heart!!!! 2pac has more good albums the lupe has songs. 2pac may have more curse words in his songs but he is still the deepest! CONTINUE YOUR RESEARCH

  • @TheeOriginalG being first dosn't instantly make a person best. Rakem predates Tupac and is a very deep lyricist in his own right. You wouldn't have to cherry pick through Lupe's work like you would with Pac's because unlike Pac he didn't rap about being a trigger puller. That dosn't de-value pac's other work, but if you are familiar with both artist's libraries and your definition of "good" is intricate, whitty, and thought provoking a higher percentage of Lupe's work will fit the description.

  • @KasirRham See but you don't get it 2pac is never talking shoot em up type "trigger puller" He talks about doing it as self defense and if i had a gun and someone was about to shoot me i don't know about you but I know what I'd do. He's talking about revolution and shooting the people who were suppressing him and US, in hindsight no one is mad about blacks fighting for their rights in the civil war, he was just fighting for what he believed in. And Yes RAKIM is a god but I still put 2pac on top

  • @TheeOriginalG Sure Pac advocated self defense, that's respectable. He also made songs like "Hit em Up" which approched shooting and violence as a pleasurable activity. In his work it seems he takes pride in having to shoot someone on some occasions and seem upset about it in others. He also seems to have experienced a bit of homo-phobia because he seems rather harsh and even hateful toward gays, why is he above Rakim, or Lupe, or anyone else it all seems subjective

  • @KasirRham He doesn't have anything against GAYS but if you ever listened to 2pac you would know he got raped in jail and was molested as a little kid, I think you'd have a bit of "homo-phobia" too! I've never heard him say anything about when thats what they choose to do. I see fighting with words better then fighting with fists.

  • @TheeOriginalG whoa...whoa.....whoa....have you ever heard of KRS-One? have you not heard The Message a la Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five?? Do you even know who influenced 2Pac??? probably not..your just dropping his name because someone mentioned him

  • @QwarterZ1 Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha come on who hasn't heard of the legends you think LUPE is the best so I can't expect you to go too deep. You probably think RAP is dead. Do you even know what R.A.P. stands for? Look it up on google, QUICK! Respond with some more ignorance, I understand Influence. If you do your research you'll find KRS talking about how INTELLIGENT 2pac WAS, NEVER ANYTHING ABOUT LUPE!!!!!!!

  • @TheeOriginalG 2Pac was semi-intelligent...your so called favorite rapper was an actor...he created the ideas and made everyone think he was nice with it, his body of work is nice..but all of it is below average aside from his better albums..Nas is a greater MC than Pac...and Rap is a style...Hip Hop is life bruh obviously you don't know what you're talking about but I forgive you for your ignorance

  • @QwarterZ1 if 2pac was "semi-intelligent" do you understand how stupid that would make you

  • @TheeOriginalG well....let's see...I listen to other artists who didn't put out a buncha flawed music to make up for the fact he put hisself in situations where he knew he was going to die...I mean a intelligent person like you might as well admit you're in love with 50 Cent...if I'm on Lupe's music page and I understand what he's saying you know how intelligent that makes you?

  • @QwarterZ1 How would you being on "Lupe's music page and understanding what he's saying" have any relevance to my intelligence? Your most intelligent argument is that I'm in love with 50 cent?

  • @TheeOriginalG and what strengths does your arguement have???

  • @concordlmao I think you might be right

  • @concordlmao Lupe is a Pac and Q-Tip lovechild

  • 54 people got shot by "The Cool"

  • youtubes replay button was made for this song

  • Dayyuuummmmmm!! I cant get enough of this song. This was hands down the best album lupe ever made

  • Lupe is the only hip hop artist I actual,y respect. His lyrics have meaning and he has a head on his shoulders, unlike many of his colleagues.

  • This is real music, lyrics actually mean something.

  • Wow zenkeny I never noticed the wheezing until you pointed it out...lupe is still the shit though.

  • This is an awesome song beyond doubt, but the constant wheezing is a bit of a turn off.

  • Sick bassline, sick strings, sick beat, and sick rhymes. Man, I love this song.

  • he never prayed to god he prayed to gotti im thinking golly god guard me from the ungodly...EPIC!!!!...no fuck that the whole song is lol

  • This guy's a damn poet, bow down to the master.

  • @justinblack1990 dude pretty sure pac ain't hip-hop

  • This is deep.

  • Out all of lupes song this touches my soul the most

  • Not to troll who do you think is better Lupe or Guru? I think Guru, who do you think?

  • @bulletnyagun44 they just belong to different era's really just very difficult to compare

  • The best album cover in the world

  • This whole song is seriously amazing Lupe always brings the real music

  • My favorite Rappers (Not in Order) Lil Wayne Lupe Fiasco Common Jayz Kanye West Juelz Santana 2pac Jay Electronica Nas Drake Eminem.... And A lot of Battle Rappers Just cause I love hip hop...

  • @JustinBlack1990 Don't EVER say Lil Wayne and Drake in the same sentence as Lupe, Nas, 2pac, or Kanye West.

  • @SmooveDoctor Nigga I said MY favorties not the worlds favorties I think all of the rappers I named are great in there own way so Hop off!!

  • Radbrad86 , fuck yeah

  • @EveryNameIsTakenFFS2 i like how i said the exact same words right before i looked this up :) but yeah he is one of my top to the tippy top hands down most favorist artist.

  • Sad how most people know Lupe for "The Show Goes On" when Lupe has made incredible songs like this.

  • simply an amazing rapper, better than all these loser rappers these days -_-

Hip-Hop/Rap is literally dead for me:/

  • such a dope fucking song

  • the main dissapointment of lasers for me is that he seemed to drop his classic third person perspective on his tracks that worked so well in food and liqour and the cool otherwise ive been a huge fan

  • Food & Liquor is undoubtedly one of the best rap album of the decade. Lupe at his prime, lyrically on top no need for sick beats. This food for your soul.

  • I just really started listening to Lupe since November of last year...Lasers was my first Album from him...I loved that album...I love this music of his too, they're both amazing, Lupe's the best all around, he can't keep living in the past for people who don't wanna move on and support him more. If you can't support him now, you never were a true fan...

  • @OceanzPredator Idiot is idiot.

  • @ChappersLaNoCry Not sure if that's an insult to me or agreement to what I said...But yeah.

  • @OceanzPredator A bit of both. I agreed with what you said, but, Lasers was awful.

  • @ChappersLaNoCry Ahh, I liked Lasers...I didn't really like how it was all about anti-government, but I honestly liked it...

  • Damn it really Hurts my soul to see what lupe fiasco turned into, Food in Liquor was the first rap album i have ever bought it really made me fall in love with hip-hop. Not only is this an amazing song it really is an art what he did with this. but now hes making shitty songs like Words i've never said acting like some anti-government anarchist. Hurt me soul was the perfect mix of informative rap and hip-hop without it making it seem lame and cheesy. This is one of the best songs ever made

  • @MrTeezy11 You obviously didn't know Lupe then. He's always been anti-establishment. Get over it Words I Never Said is 100% true

  • @thecrazyshowshow Hes part of the establismhment, hes a mainstream rapper, words i never said is as deep as a paddling pool. thing is most his fans now are gullible enough to just blindly believe him when he just blames it all on atlantic, friend of the people was his mixtape, how ya blame that on atlantic. i dnt knock him for it, he finally got smart but stop making ridiculous excuses.

  • @MrTeezy11 Well if anyone tells him that then he'll probably consider. He says he does it for the fans, what the fans want.

  • I'm so high when i listen this music

  • @Emman92 I know what u talkn bot. its lik he aint even the same dude.

  • has hip hop saved anyone's life?

  • @radbrad86 it has.

  • catholic priests fondlin'

  • one of the most lyrically intricate songs ever made. Lupe is a lyrical heavy weight. maybe even champ

  • Osama ain't no bombin' em

  • One of the best songs ever

  • lupe is the truth

  • BEAT SOO SMOOTH LUPE IS THAT NIGGA!

  • Rapper coming straight out of queens ny..on the come up..needs heavy support from you guys..please give this artist a chance like Lupe Fiasco was givin a chance when he was on the come up..just search lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice Lou i made a choice

  • @usman2011

You are right my brother, he says "estağfurullah", the turkish version :)

  • That F&L Flow...

    Amazing Flow....

    Just dam...

  • Hurt me soul is a revelation, a very on point track. Between F&L & The Cool, im lost. I think thise two albums are class acts. Long live Lupe!!!

  • Man you can just hear his Soul

  • KID CUDI, BOB, AND LUPE

  • its "Fahrenheit 1/15 part four friend of the people:i fight evil"

  • Lupe hasnt even changed. lasers messed with him but he came back same way in his ' jesus ' mixtape.

  • @TheProffeser1 You mean Friend of the People

  • @ClubNarutoReaper DOUBLE BURGER W CHESSE!!!!!!!

  • I love Lupe but it sucks when i tell people he is my favorite they say "oh ya i love lasers and the show goes on" no i love the real lupe and the amazing way he used to be!

  • @millerisi indeed my friend. here is a Little list on albums/mixtapes i own and other must. "kid fiasco(kid cudi and lupe mixtape) "before there were lasors" "the cool" "the cool mixtape" "FAHRENHEIT 1/15" (musthave) "FAHRENHEIT 1/15 part 2 revenge of the nerds" "FAHRENHEIT 1/15 part 3 a rhyming ape, "FAHRENHEIT 1/15 part four friend of the people: i fight evil" "lasors" "lupe fiasco gems" "lupe the jedi" i mean i could go on and on and on. lupe is the best artist out. FNF!

    Missouri

  • I love this song, check out my page everybody! i got alot of songs i've recorded in the past week with my twin..check our songs out and leave feedback! subscribe if you like what you hear (:

  • one of my fav :)

  • Astaghfirullah is the act of seeking forgiveness from God.

  • time goes on, so does his level of sickness.

  • <3

  • this song gives me goosebumps

  • I miss this lupe.. my favorite rapper, ever. He will always be my favorite rapper, because of food and liquor and the cool, but man its getting hard to hold on.

  • @Emman92 I know what you mean, but really, he's still same lupe, just a different sound. I think the real reason people like Lupe so much ids because he's different from other rappers. He raps about stuff that matters other than big butts, money, and drugs. In Lasers, he just took a political approach. He's still the realest rapper out there, so even if his sound completely changes, Iupe will always be my favorite rapper. Along with Childish Gambino.

  • @Emman92 I feel the same way I will always love him because of what he used to be but i cant even listen to his new stuff!

  • @Emman92 Nah, Lu's still got it. The record deal made him put out Lasers for radio play. Let's hope in Food & Liquor 2 Lupe goes back to the cool lupe we all know and love

  • @Emman92 I almost agree, but alone, the song "word i never said" keeps me holding on. I dislike the poppyness of it, but god damn it the lyrics are to real.. Lyrics.

  • @Emman92 If you are a real fan you'd know he was forced to do Lasers, he also said just because it sounds crappier the message is still the same.

  • @ErfanAzyze That still doesn't change the fact that The Cool was one of the most underwhelming album in recent years. Lupe has the potential to be top-5 all time. I mean this is a dude who is getting airtime and he could literally murk the whole game with one classic album. F&L was ridiculous lyrically, but the beats were lacking, while The Cool was the opposite. Hoping he gets it together on the 4th, but I'm not holding out for anything amazing.

  • @Emman92 i agree with you cause this song has some crazy wordplay but i think lupe will bring this back in food and liquor 2 u can call L.A.S.E.R.S as an interlude

  • @Emman92 U fake lupe fans hatting him cause of laser wen laser was good

It might not be as good as food and liquor and do you know why lupe made laser? He forced to so stfu

  • @Emman92 Lasers was the SHIT !

  • Man i don't wanna sound cliche but i know I will...........I MISS THIS LUPE

  • lyrical genius , and he has always remained consistent….this guy has more diverse musical selections than any rapper ive ever heard and he kills each track! Love the content of his lyrics, so uplifting and inspiring! … search the group "INRG - TAKE A PICTURE" i been listenin to- keepin good music alive!

  • Lawlz we got arabs here. KILL EM ALL.

  • He's with women on his videos, ASTAGHFIRULLAH.

  • I'm just trying to do the opposite of left, as long as there's the opposite of death, ya know. Yes, ya test and I just might bring the opposite of life, til' there's no one the opposite of right..don't know which song its from but its beautiful

  • LIKE if you can hear what lupe says in the beginning:

    ASTAGHFIRULLAH

if you don't know what it means, educate yourself

  • @usman2011 Now I know :)

  • @usman2011 ?

  • @usman2011 dats wats hott!!!

  • @usman2011 thanks u made me a more educated person. listening to lupe made me a more educated person.

  • @kevincap13 search up Lupe's songs on RapGenius(dot)com it breaks down Lupe's line-by-line

  • @usman2011 that doesnt even mean anything man

  • @usman2011 it means begging God for forgiveness in the Muslim religion....DUH lol

  • @trollingbiznach In the arabic language you mean.
