I cringe when I think of KISS now, but those first few albums - especially the first 4 - rocked. In interviews, you always hear Paul and Gene cite the 60's and 70's British rock bands like Zeppelin, The Stones, Beatles, Cream for being the blue print of their sound. But you never hear them mention The Kinks.
KISS, like the Kinks, knew the importance of a riff.
@HumblePie76: Yeah, and when Dave sings he sounds just like Paul Stanley. And this is something like three or four years before Kiss was even a band. Wierd, isn't it?
Awesome album! Probably my fave Kinks album, except for maybe "face to face", or"something else", or "arthur", or "muswell hillbillies" ,or "soap opera", or.......well you know what I mean. But thanks for the upload, great sound!!!
I think of the amazing scene of The Darjeeling Limited, everytime I hear this song! It's awesome. Running in slow motion with suitcases flying around!
@mussman717word Don't think so man. Black Sabbath's self titled album was released the same year as this album so it's highley unlikely it is. But there's always a possibility.
at the top of their game on this album, where the songwriting and the musicianship were on par with each other and the production really brought that out. Stellar stuff, this album is so diverse with no wasted moments at all-
how good is this? again, not to be redundant but none of my vinyl sounds anywhere as good as this and it usually sounds superior to the digital stuff,
@EdzoMan twisting and turn that big booty ass, as you laugh stickin' your dick in it and risking that you might get her pregnant cause you were too loose goosed to use protection........that's where
thanks a lot..i felt really empty when the vprevious video this song was removed..i used to console myself by watching the darjeeling limited song bits..thanks a lot for posting this original
No video necessary, of coarse.

This song had to have influenced Black Sabbath, at least a little bit, right.
