The Arabs gave us our numeric system. They were the first to use silk stiching for wounds. They founded algebra, the basics for trig and all other forms of complex mathematics. Muslim books were used by European Scientists in the Renaissance as a basis for all of their studies.

He was paid to annotate the King James Version of the Bible in 1908 while overseas, but curiously, the Oxford Dictionary retained copyright.
