  • Great Sound of Great Master.

  • @TheMovieEditor

AVE MARIA - das sagt alles, SCHUBERT. BITTE, das ist etwas Heiliges, can you undestand it? That's no jazz4fun. Pietha - Maestro Maurice Andre - celeste!

  • Bravo! Maestro!

  • bellisima pieza ..

  • i can play this on trumpet, too...

    its soo beautyfull..

  • this made me cry....my teacher died a few months ago and he always wanted to play this at mass .wht a beautiful song

  • adorable

  • so nearly perfect... I shed a tear at 2.28 - 2.29 when he couldn't quite hold/fade that note out...

  • @WheresMyDinner64 a fade does not harm perfection, but yes i see what you mean.

  • he has one of the greatest tones of any professional trumpet player i'veever heard

  • is this a b-tumpet? he sound is abolutly wunderful, the best sound who I ever heard in my life!

  • He plays on an Eb-trumpet. Probably a Selmer.

  • A Selmer Eb sounds about right but he could play a tin horn and still sound good, imho. The fat little French man: I love him dearly.

  • he's italian...

  • @zander392 No, he is French.

  • No matter how impressive Trumpet playing becomes I always will listen to Maurice Andre and be astounded!

  • beautiful !!!!

  • awesomely played!!!

  • this brings shivers down my spine :D so beautiful...

  • this vid is out of sync...

  • Definitivamente el maestro Andre es el mejor !!

  • This guy IS THE best player in the world!!!

  • does anyone know where i can get a free sheet music for this???

  • I wonder if there is an experimental youtube interface for resynching audio such as this which is out.

  • meh... Why bother? just listen.

  • from wiki "At the conservatory, his professor, out of frustration beat him, and told him to return when he could excel in his playing" oh my God, he is a genius and a wonderful human being.

  • Does anyone have "The Art of Maurice Andre" doing variations on Verdi's "La Traviata"? From what I've been able to gather, it was recorded with the Paris Police Band - arranged and conducted by Jean Baptiste Arban.

  • Well, in that case Jean B. Arban is about three hundred years old.

  • That was fucking brutal, this guy is a fucking bad ass.

  • Man I love your way with words. Not the ones I would have picked but I,m in total agreement anyway.Good lad!

  • Comment removed

  • jalous !

  • this guy is one of the best trumpet players of the world

  • Lol the sound doesn't match his fingerings.

  • I don't think you know a lot about trumpet, 'cause there's not just one sound for each combination. You can raise and high the sound for different notes... LoL.

  • No, seriously! I mean that the sound doesn't sync with the picture! I actually know quite a bit about trumpet. Don't u think I know all that you are saying? I've played the cornet for 12 years... LoL.

  • helburr is right, the video is not synced correctly

  • are you kidding me? the sound is clearly out of sync

  • Hi,

I'm searching "Que ma joie demeure' from J.S. Bach, played by M. André. Could you help me ?

It would be music to my wedding in the church...

  • dont know if it the vid or is he fake laying hard to tell but like the he puts the tone

  • The audio is a little ahead

  • this vid isnt fake... even if it was he could still play this easily this guy is in the (well.. my) top five trumpet players of all time ..

  • anyone know where to find the music sheet of this song for the trumpet?

  • I can e mail it to you if you wish

  • can you email it to me also? Thank You.

  • maurice andre is really something..

  • Great video!Wath a technique,Gee!I'm in the jazz side of the music but music is music and we have to be honest even if it's not your style. And respect,of course.

    All the best from Portugal,J.G.

  • i kinda like chris botti's betta.

  • If you mean you like Chris Botti's version better. Well I like Chris' playing in general but Franz Schubert would be rolling over in his grave to hear that version. He played it like it was more smooth jazz to seduce a hot lady too...Like or not this is music in praise of God which I think Botti sort of missed.

  • a very good example of easy to play, but god damn hard to play well!

  • my 8th grade solo

  • do you still have the sheet music

  • Magic

  • Thank you!

  • woah! did you hear how long his sound resonated after he pulled the horn away from his lips! omfg incredible! lol.

    jk.

  • haha nice

  • heh lol

  • only def can't appreciate this pure nectar oozing from his horn

  • It's not imitated. Audio and Video are not synchronized, that's all.

  • totálny luxus

  • i love it.

  • he is the gratest

  • beautiful

  • yeah its a bit delayed, but the trumpet playing is beautiful. most of the trumpet players at my school are winey. but hey is high school.

  • hhaayyddnn, you have written"god play".Anybody knows that God don't play trumpet but angels do(lots of paintings show them playing!)so Maurice André is certainly the boss of all the angels. But Haydn, sorry hhaayyddnn you must know this music is not an aria but the "Ave Maria" composed by Franz Shubert.

Congratulations your selection is very good.

  • Actually, it's an art song called "Ellens dritter Gesang" and was about the Lady of the Lake. Schubert never intended it to be set to the liturgical prayer "Ave Maria."

  • The video is delayed a full second from the audio.

  • sounds so nice! Just if the sound overlapped the video better, then it wouldn't be so confusing to watch (like when someone's mouth is off from their speech), but it's Maurice Andre = SO AWESOME! Thanks for posting!

  • fuuj

  • What year was this recorded?

  • This is our FATHER! The BEST!

  • nice
