This reminds me of the movie "Mr. Holland's Opus ". The scene Mr. Holland talks about "A lover's concerto" and Bach's minuet in G major, just same as the way Lenny explain notes with the rangers and the west and Guillaume Tell. Note's itself means nothing special.

There are other similarities, only Lenny is a much better teacher.
