Although not as many as Mexico, but Pancho Villa, Ceferino Garcia, Flash Elorde, Rolando Navarrete, Nonito Donaire, Speedy Dado, Gerry Penalosa are only some of the many great fighters from the Philippines. Both countries have produced greats, but there will always be only one TRUE P4P Champion.

Actually, the Filipinos have produced many great fighters. Although not as many as Mexico, but Pancho Villa, Ceferino Garcia, Flash Elorde, Rolando Navarrete, Nonito Donaire, Speedy Dado, Gerry Penalosa are only some of the many great fighters from the Philippines. Both countries have produced greats, but there will always be only one TRUE P4P Champion.

because 1.Cable TV killed Mexican boxing being aired on normal t.v in the 90s. It is thus, harder to promote there. 2.Boxing has been forced to find other audiences in other countries, thus, Manny Pacquiao and fighters from Eastern Europe, South America, Great Britain etc. 3.Boxing has always played second fiddle to Futbol in Mexico. 4.Not only is Mexico not as poor, but now, gambling is less prevalent there. Money is what makes great fighters, not countries.

You do realize that Morales beat Zaragoza when Zaragoza was already 37, right? Morales is about 21 years old here. So for me, the whole Pacquiao beating Morales cause Erik's old doesn't hold water. I'm betting that most of the Pacquiao cheerleaders don't even know of Zaragoza. And this WAS Morales' best weight.
