@peatchoonay Liked your video i know this is a year old comment. But you can make your own humidifier under 3 bucks that are way better than any store baught ones that are high dollar. Just buy a travel soap container poke holes in it.. But a sponge cut around it to fit in the container damp it with water once a week. throw in your case.

That's the opposite of what the Backpacker description on Musician's friend says...

"Don't let the diminutive size of the Martin Backpacker Acoustic Guitar fool you. A braced, solid tonewood top with a solid mahogany neck, back, and sides gives this cool little guitar a surprisingly big projection."

I stand corrected. I've found another description by Martin that specifically mentions the one piece solid mahogany back, sides and neck. It also references the solid top. However, and this makes me suspicious, it doesn't say spruce. It says, and I quote, " A braced, solid tonewood top..." If it's spruce, why not say spruce. A solid spruce soundboard is a selling point for an acoustic guitar. the "tonewood" thing strikes me as if their lawyers wouldn't allow the phrase, solid spruce.

actually on a lot of there smaller models they do use laminates but they try to cover it up by calling it java mahogany pattern hpl textured finish. i was told by a man at a local guitar store that there is wood used but barely any.

well i went to a guitar shop abd asked a few ?'s. since the guitar is real wood, not laminate it needs a humidifier. the guy said if it doesnt have a humidifier the woood will bend or even crack. maybe ask were you bought it. i might get the guitar and im going to get a small 15$ clip on humidifier. seeya

they never sound tuned! No truss rod, so it's all over the place. I love mine, but it's relative to time and place. It sounds good on the top of a mountain, where there's nothing else to compare it to.
