The decision was made that they were leaving Motown, Jermaine was married to Berry gordy's daughter so he had to stay. These were the first performances with Randy. yes ,he was feeling it at every performance  where Jermaine was'nt on his left...MJ was always keyed in on his surroundings,mic placement,lights,cameras ect. the absence of jermaine hurt but it made it possible later for him to accept the possibility of leaving the band in the future...only a few years later.Lets remember...it was his first time.."out of the box"-this situation along with his occasional solo acts (since age 11) prepared him for what was to come.. ;)

Michael was the only true talent in this family. The rest of the brothers were simply background singers. I seriously doubt that Tito was even playing the guitar and we all know that they were dubbed over in the studio. So the brother's were only used for show.

They were all very talented, they actually sung acapella harmony, which is not easy to do. No need to put the others down, they are brothers and all contributed to the success of the family. The only reason they didn't break up the group back then is because Joe would have made a big stink out of it. Michael was clearly the miracle in that group. It happens with all groups.
