If they can't get their head inside something, they won't try to go further. But if the head fits in the opening/hole/whatever then their whole body in able to smoothly fit through that opening/hole/whatever.

@DaZeDmerlin I think there is a limit of how fat a cat can be, to fit somewhere. as said they can fit in many places, even fat ones ( I have seen it often at friend's cats ). maybe just try to lure him somewhere and play with him somewhere where he needs to go through some narrow space.probably that would make him trying to go through there. but I think he would fit, i cant imagine a cat being so fat that he doesnt fit somewhere :D
