different, these first gen cat will cause the car to burn more fuel, hardly eco friendly

Hi again Pinin, yep, totally agree, i hate catalytic converters, nothing but bad in the practical reality of it all. All just to satisfy the greenies, and look how much engine sizes have grown now to try and cope with the stifling nature of cats? What is now a Vectra 2500cc V6, used to only be cavalier 1800 or 2000cc Sri 4 cylinder pre cats, and just as quick! EU directives on emission control have led to some of the most short sighted and badly designed car systems going in my opinion.

twincam also restricting the revs.
