i used to by those NYC glasses for $15-$20, and some from gas stations, lol, they break easily. So, I started buying good quality sunglasses, from Ed Hardy, PRADA, LACOSTE, Ray Ban & Ferragamo...

LOVE the heart shaped glasses! Good thing, because I'm heart/diamond shape :) But, who would pay that much for sunglasses? Cheap places like Claires and Forever 21 have sunglasses for like 2 dollars that look just as good as those.

Glasses are glasses. They are use to protect the eyes from the sun or any bright light. I would never buy sunglasses that cost more than $10.

Yes but they are cheap and fall apart so easily. For a few years when I was younger I kept buying ten dollar sunglasses. They kept falling apart on me just a few weeks after buying them. I figured all the money I was spending on replacing sunglasses would be better spent on spending more money for a GOOD, high quality sunglasses. It's worth it, but some prices are too high for anything. 400 is way too much, IMO.

I guess I've had good luck with them. The only time I've had sunglasses fall apart were when I sat on my favourite pair from walmart like 12 years ago. :P

You know what I can buy with $500? Not one pair of sunglasses! I can buy a few pairs of outfit with that money. So the overpriced glasses are a rip-off. I don't care if they're designer glasses.

@OS253 put it this way... you spend money on 25 dollar sunglass. Most people can keep them going good for 10-20 years depending on usage. If you intend to keep a same pair of sunglasses for 10-20 years than buying a really nice pair of sunglasses is worth it. I have a pair of versace sunglass is spent $250 dollars on and I've had them for a good 10 years, and they still look as good as the day I bought them. To me it was a great investment because the marginial utility has been long overdue.
