  • great song, for one of the greatest things ever produced by the 80's..... The Wonder Years

  • 363 people have no friends

  • First concert I ever saw was Joe Cocker, in Boston, on his first U.

    S. tour. He has the pipes, he has the chops, and he can style a song like nobody's business.

  • love this song why are there so many topless girls in the video?

  • @GatlingSword The girls are from the British cover of "Electric Ladyland" by Jimi Hendrix Experience (obvious why it was never released in the US!)...why it is being used here? No clue.

  • @Rainwhisker167

because the girls are topless. nuff said!

  • I wonder how many people were surprised that he was a white guy singing this song.

  • @Markb2477 I know I was surprised. He sounds fantastic.

  • @SmashingKinpumps I'm just saying when people thing "With a Little Help From My Friends" people think beatles. The only reason i started it is because he said the beatles said that his version was better, but I can't seem to find that anywhere. Sources please?

  • @itsstilltuesday when i think of this song i think of woodstock and the show wonder years ...it was years before i knew this was a beatles cover

  • A yummy friend invite! *licks lips*

  • What is Cocke on here? He looks wastoid fucked up. lol.

  • This song is from my favorite television show ever!

  • @dorkandproudofit You are an Idiot the Beatles version is way better..

  • @itsstilltuesday really ? wow. music is subjective. don't judge which is better, you just sound like a moron.

  • @itsstilltuesday Tin ears! Cocker's version and style makes the Beatles sound like Sesame Street characters.

  • @Scanjoon i guess agree to disagree but you can't cover a song by the greatest band of all time and be better it is impossible.

  • @itsstilltuesday Unless of course the band that WROTE THE SONG said the cover was better. Which they did.

  • @itsstilltuesday greatest of all time? lol

  • am i the only one who notices all of the bare tits floating in the background??

  • @chungin955 That was the original Hendrix cover that didn't get released in the states!

  • Berries and cream, berries and cream. I'm a little lad who loves berries and cream.

  • This is a great song. Also if you heard the voice and not the face. You would have never thought it was a white guy singing.

  • makes me wonder how good were the drugs then, still the song is good

    as is the video

  • @l8trg8tr071 and jimmy page on guitar!

  • it boggles the mind that this WHITE man can sing like this..love joe cocker cuz he has soul

  • si près et si loin.. Je frisonne quand j'entends et vois ce clip PS j'avais 15 ans cette année là!

  • GREAT VIDEO! XD

  • This song epitomizes my life. Without my friends, i'm quite literally nothing. Love my friends to death, and would die for them!

  • I see tits on the first part man i love this video.

  • Theme song to The Wonder Years. One of the best shows as a 80's baby growing up in the 90's.

  • The recording features lead guitar from Jimmy Page.

  • BOOBS! WTF NICE

  • Even though I was born in the late 80s, this is classic without a doubt

  • WOW.....years. YEARS i've spent to find this song and i finally found it...an old tv show started with this song... anybody remembers??

  • God damn it why couldnt i have grown up in the 60's......

  • Gorgeous voice; inexplicable video. I suppose we can attribute the naked ladies in the background as a sign of the times?

  • It's the best. Traindude

  • this is the best version of this song, It was where I was in my life. I dont care that the beatles done it, They didnt do this way. I was not a beatles fan, i think they were ok but to be honest this is the best version of this song.

  • i never knew that this was a beatles song before cocker sang it

  • Timeless !

  • Joe is an even better dancer than the guy from the Smiths

  • lol @ the hundreds of topless women in the background

  • maybe better than the beatles one, because he's a better singer than ringo

But the beatles arrangement is perfect for sgt. pepper, this couldnt have been on it. anyway just shows lennon mccartney genius

  • Only a couple songs have been covered and considered original. The 2 I can think of now are this, and Hendrix - All along the watchtower. Both covered from extremely talented artist, by extremely talented artist.

  • jimmy page guitar solo...

  • Everytime I hear this song I think of The Wonder Years. I also went to high school with Paul aka Josh Savino. He was a dork in real life. He had is yearbook picture professional done.

  • i know the beatles made this and their version is very good. but i like this one way much more, idk i feel the emotion in the song i guess. haha idk love it.

  • @cherocheri you are so right this version is much more emotional

  • @cherocheri I totaly agree

  • i agree with you PIGHUNTER375, this is the theme song to wonder years.

  • there a songs which was written by some musicans and then other musicans came along and took the song and make it to their own.

fE Hurt by Trent Reznor from the NIN was covered by Johnny Cash. later trent reznor said as he heared Cashs version the first time " I just lost my girlfriend, because that song isn't mine anymore" he knew this song was made for Cash.

Joe Cocker did the same with "With a Little Help From My Friends"

  • dis version is 10x better than tha beatles version...it has more life and feeling

  • Can't help but think of Belushi when he used to immitate Joe Cocker.

  • Love it!!!!!!

  • i like the beatles but i gotta say i think joe has a better voice than paul and john

  • paul and john didnt sing this song it was ringo

  • Beatles way better, sorry joe

  • @gunnar2300 agreed!

  • Good music and bare titties....

    Can't beat that combo!

  • ha ha wonder years...i had no idea this was a beatles song even though I've had the beatles song for years. Gasp :O

  • @notvee but that's the thing with a cover as good as this, isn't it ...like others have said here, really making the song their own ? In same way a mate of mine was stunned the other week to realise "all along the watchtower " was a Dylan song :)

  • brings me back memories from when i use to watch the show Wonder Years

  • This song is pretty touching...

  • ahhhh so so so so good. not a fan of the beatles version, so in love with this one.

  • this version was made famous by "the Wonder Years" tv show. :)

  • wonderfoul years...

  • Wow, some of these comments are ridiculus. Saying the beatles are horrible? That's unacceptable. This version is good, and it's just as good as the original.

  • Best version other than the original.

    Beatles 4 ever.

  • sung 10000 x better than the beatles

  • synchronised epilepticish hand movements were brilliant in this video.

  • I doubt he can help it--he has Cerebral Palsy.

  • Is it me or this guy sings this song better than the original???

  • i am 13 years old.and i love this song.

  • Me too :)

  • Im sorry the beatles version has nothing on this.

  • damm his voice is damm man great song

  • los años maravillosos!!!!!

  • It´s Great...i love this Song so much!

And the Soap ist beautiful ;)

  • oh! men i love it

  • 2:45-St.Pepper Lonely Hearts Club,..Cool

  • Dude, even The Fab Four agreed that this arrangement was better than theirs.

Seriously, they actually came out and said it.

  • OMG, I just watched the Beatles version of this song. DUDE, that song was so horrible. I'll give it the credit it's due for being the original, but every now and then a remake will surpass the original, and this is definitely one of the situations. Now i wanna watch the Wonder Years, HAHAHAHA

  • both versions of the song are equally as good, though.

  • cocker made it better no doubt.

  • Amazing song, but he looks like the "Berries and Cream" dude.

  • Or is it that the "Berries and Cream" dude looks like Joe Cocker.....?

  • Whatever. The man can sing, and that's all that really matters.

    Still, Berries and Cream. :)

  • Although I am a huge Beatle fan Cocker made this a classic

  • how long I searched for this xD

    love this song

    awesome

  • crappy non ending. sorry, don't mean to be nasty.

  • Hard to hear this song and not think about The Wonder Years!

  • Yep,me too:)

  • @PigHunter375 So true. :)

  • @PigHunter375 I think about it everytime I hear it! ahh..back when there were good shows on tv!

  • fantastic

  • jimmy page plays guitar on this track

  • That would be the greatest drummer is rock, the late B.J. Wilson of Procol Harum, on drums.

  • 1968 was one of those years that shoked the world in social matters. It was the year of Tlatelolco (Mexico City), Paris, and Praha disturbs.

  • Don't forget Germany! And don't know how you've seen it but in Germany was almost a revolution! Social and socialistic! :-)

  • The original was written by Lennon/McCartney and first appeared on ther Sgt. Pepper album. Cocker's was a cover version.

  • lol, no its not, this is a lennon and mcartney song!!!

    what a cover though!!!!!

  • I LOVE this version! I might like it more than the Beatles'.

  • the naked girls in the background are from the UK electric ladyland cover

  • :) sang out of tune

  • joe was really cute in a goofy sorta way. great rendition of a beatles classic.

  • your kidding right? i mean this song wouldn't be here without them

  • You SUCK!!!

  • wish this was the full version

  • very cool song.

  • Those nude women in the background are from the album cover of electric ladyland by jimi hendrix. TRIVIA

Also the guitarist for this song is led zeppelin's Jimmy page
