  • are the blue bins ex BFI carts? great video

  • Nice video dude.Thanks

  • @giojoeg ur welcome

  • very cool

  • Wow safe workers wearing their hardhats! Sure wouldn't want them to hit their heads on.....ahh, let me see, what's something I could possibly think of that would fall on them or that they'd hit their heads on...................Hmph...CAN'T SEEM TO lol Gotta love em safety policies. Thanks for getting this, great angle on it

  • how do they dump all of the recyclables at the transfer station if they have sections?

  • dump paper 1st, then commingled in a diff pile.

  • Love that angle! Can you get more from this angle?

  • Possibly

  • Neat view! Looks like some of the residents didn't sort their recycling properly?

  • Thanks! This was at a college dorm so I'm guessing alot of the crap is mixed together! haha

  • LOL at the U of M I see a lot of recycling thrown in the trash even when there's a can right next to it for recycling.

  • Outstanding overhead! Cool to see some action from above for a change, looks like they were about full too. Must favourite this one! Nice work!

  • Thank you!

  • Great job! Definitely liked seeing it from this angle. Seeing this reminds me of my brief time on a Dempster recycler.... for dual stream recycling - anything is better than this style of truck.

  • Thanks for the input!

  • Really? These have always bben my favorites, but I can definitally see where you're coming from, lololol.

  • LOL - well for multi-section curb sort these are the only way to go, but for dual stream, I'd think a split RL or MSL would be much better - especially for packing all the plastic, glass and metal. =)

  • Yeah...I'd go with an Expert 60/40 split with the double lifter like NYMegaMan has for this type of application.

  • THe maximizer is the wall you see dividing the paper from co-mingle. On the floor is hydraulic cylinder that moces the wall back and forth pushing the paper into the bubble of the tailgate and also lightly crushs the comingle when the wall moves toward the front. I worked on one of these when I first started driving for bfi. Our district had about 20 of these but now only have 2. They been replaced by Labrie Experts

  • Thanks for the info!!! I always wondered how these worked, and now I know! Do you think the Top Selects or the Experts are better for recycling?

  • Experts are better to work on. With the Top Selects you have to walk the length of the truck for almost every bin you dump. Plus the Expert has better compaction and holds more

  • Yeah that makes sense...I've always liked my Expert, haha.

  • How does it empty the contents?

  • Open the tailate and dump the paper first. Then flip a switch in the cab that releases air powered locks on the divider. At the start of your day you have to open the tailgate and climb inside the body. On the divider there are two pins you have to set . If I ever used this truck again I'll get vid

  • That sounds very interesting! So the Maximizer moves to both the front and the tailgate to "pack"? And when you dump the paper 1st, then unlock the divider...does the divider swing sideways or fold down to the floor?

  • Yup the maximizer moves both ways. The divider has hinges at the top. Once you raise the body and release the locks, the weight of the comingle pushes the divider up.

  • Ahh I see. That sounds like it can be a pain to dump! The Experts are alot easier. Thanks for the info!

  • Nice view and truck!

  • Awesome shot! Loved it! 5 and fav!

  • nice job!!

  • Great job... I love noncompacting recyclers like this one!

  • @GatorJake12 Take a real close listen...it has some type of packing mechanism...but I dunno how it works!?!

  • wow i have a feeling this was his last stop

  • There was actually about 30 more carts to do, lol!

  • holy sh** lol

  • I think he might have been training the other guy tho.

  • Haha yeah. You're welcome!

  • Yep, he's full alright! Great Footage & 5 Stars! There're not many labries that collect residentially where I live. I only see them on commercial 2 stream routes, mainly on IHC chassis. I'll try to catch some of them in action if I get the chance!

  • Thanks! Yeah most I've seen do commercial. I've only seen one or two Top Selects on residential. Most residential 2 stream is done by Expert 2000 60/40 splits.

  • I have always thought recyclers were awesome!

    How do they pack?

    5* n fav

  • Thanks! I always wondered that too...I have yet to find out.

  • these labries dont pack

  • WEIRD!

  • yup but the heil recycle 2000 does

  • How does it work?

  • the heil recycle 2000 packer works like any other packer

  • @lahluv This one has some type of packing mechanism...called the "Maximizer." I'm not sure how it works, but if you turn the volume up really loud you can hear it crushing the plastic bottles up.

  • o thats right i forgot. it removes the air out of plastic bottles to make more room

  • that was AWESOME! That truck sure is getting stuffed lol.

  • Glad you liked it :-)

  • wow hes full! great video

  • sure is, thanks!

  • Nice job. 5 stars.

  • Thank you
