It great that you can do this without any RIA compliant safety fences or Emergency Stop stations, or laser fences. This display, in a factory setting, would be shut down and the company would be sued for neglecting worker safety. This is why innovation is dying in America.
I have seen a Fanuc throw a car through a fence as it aborted its dash board install. I have seen a Fanuc tear a door off a car and break a overhead chain conveyor. I have witnessed a rising number of know nothings that try to tell me about robotic cell construction. Innovation is as dead as tact or politeness.
Then who ever runs your robots dosen't know what they are doing. Fanuc let alone any of the other brands will only do what they are programmed. Proper setup and a robot tech that knows what he is doing will fix your shit ass plant. =P hehe
@kamakasi1 if people die well then i guess that's one less idiot out of the world, you don't get near a robot when it is holding a car, the fence is merely the minimum safety distance
Most of the crashes were human error. A few times it was mechanical error. The encoder feedback for the base rotate got smashed by product and the robot rotated into the fence, and it swept everything in its path to the hard stop. Another time the end effector partially broke off inside a car and the robot returned home with the car. - I still like your video.
the FANUC's are way nicer than the KUKAs

In europe with have same restriction than you in a factory, and maybe more.
but during a show it's different and fyi we have speed security loaded in this robot ;)

ha. if you cant see the fence, maybe you should program your robot to see it for you. it forms a great safety zone around this amazing robot!
