Cops don't need anything to break into your house depending on where you live and how corrupt the judge is. They can say anything and do anything. They'll lie, cheat, and steal. The constitution is dead. They can break into your house if they suspect anything all they have to say is "we suspected a crime was happening at the time....." Always keep your doors locked if it's open they can barge in and say you let them in, never open the door to police, talk inside the door.
Cops need evidence to get a search warrant, not circumstantial evidence such as someone telling you their's drugs in that house. So yes, this is an illegal raid. If cops could obtain warrant's based on that information, they would be violating people's constitutional rights. That's one thing that cops don't understand, breaking the law makes them no better than other criminals and they should be held accountable like everyone else

Just 2 days ago, I was stopped by a cop FOR WALKING THROUGH A PUBLIC PARK IN BROAD DAYLIGHT.
He "detained" me (didn't place me under arrest because there was no possible charge, as I am a law-abiding citizen), and he also assaulted me by making his horse try to trample me.
He also called three other police officers to the park to harrass and bully me.
Bullies are the worst scum on the planet, and these bullies with guns are the worst scum among the scum.
They are domestic terrorists. Americans tend to take care of business, outside their own country. This is an epidemic. I once had a bully cop tell me he would kick the shit out of me. I went down to the police station to file a compliant all the while the chief argued with me. He made me a deal in the end, he would make the cop walk the beat for a month, I agreed. I checked up on him, and there he was walking the beat. I walked past him, and he wouldn't even make eye contact.

Wonder what their probable cause was? BTW, there are other exceptions to the search warrant but it usually has to do with emergency circumstances or degradation of evidence. This looks like it had neither. To get the search warrant, it would seem they'd need more PC then just the light...was there a CI? @quest2drive- the police are there to enforce the law, not to act as neighborhood watch. Without consent, they cannot enter without a valid warrant or actual probable cause. They possessed neither here and they knew it. They knowingly exceeded their authority. Fortunately, here, no one was hurt. The probable cause requirement is there not just for your protection, but theirs too. People get shot for entering another's home without permission- justifiably- due to the 2nd Amendment.

Whether it was taken to the D.A. doesn't matter; he (or she) was only the formal means to the judge. What does matter is the sworn affidavit that was required from the in-taking officer, upon which probable cause for the warrant was (supposedly) based. Sorry, cops can't escape blame here; the corruption is shared. KNOW your rights.

It doesn't always work out that way. Most cops get off, with not even a slap on the wrist. These days, they use policy to back up whatever crime they commit. They also hide behind the 'blue code of silence', this obviously needs to stop. The main problem, the government is not doing a damn thing about it. Wonder what their probable cause was? BTW, there are other exceptions to the search warrant but it usually has to do with emergency circumstances or degradation of evidence. This looks like it had neither. To get the search warrant, it would seem they'd need more PC then just the light...was there a CI? Can't say I would condemn them just on this, but it certainly doesn't look good.

They possessed neither here and they knew it. They knowingly exceeded their authority. Fortunately, here, no one was hurt. The probable cause requirement is there not just for your protection, but theirs too. People get shot for entering another's home without permission- justifiably- due to the 2nd Amendment.

Whether it was taken to the D.A. doesn't matter; he (or she) was only the formal means to the judge. What does matter is the sworn affidavit that was required from the in-taking officer, upon which probable cause for the warrant was (supposedly) based. Sorry, cops can't escape blame here; the corruption is shared. KNOW your rights.

It would be great if cops went after corporate criminals with the same vigor as they do pot users. But the sad reality is that there is a double standard in this nation. Rewards for corporate crimes and punishment for pot smokers. FUCK THE POLICE!
