@alewis1210 the monitor switch on the unit links the input and output of the unit. as if you connected the out to a pair of monitors, if its feeding the output back into the mixer in can digitally feedback if your mixer is sending the tape in to main mix

@ Boomdoggles..I use Virtual DJ to record my mixes which work fine with my Mixtrack Pro but using VDJ to record mixes with my Mixdeck it record the songs I que up to.

I have the Numark Mixdeck. When I use it with Virtual DJ it is fine however when I record a mix with my Mixdeck and Virtual DJ it not only record the music coming out of the master output be it records all the music that I cue up. Will this Behringer UCA 222 rwsolve this issue? Will it allow me to record on the Mixxdeck with recording everything I cue up?

hey people i have a question about this thing. i have one, got it free with a midi key board. i want to use it some how... i have a motu 828 mk3 and i wanna run my turntable through my dj mixer, then into the motu. do i need this behringer thing at all? how do i go about doing this. basicly i want to record my vinyls in logic pro 9. or just listen back. how the hell do i do it.

I highly recommend this product for loops and other stuff, but if you want to record a demo buy an m audio fast track pro or a line 6 podstudio ux2 or kb37

so If I plugged in 4 mics into my mixer and then ran the RCA jack in and out would I get and even sound (vocals same level with music) to record my band?

what is an optical input? whats it do. If I record a 3 man band (guitar,bass, and drum with 2 mics for recording along with 2 vocal mics running thru a Behringer Xenyx mixer will it sound professional?

@Whatnameisavailible optical is a digital in. yeah it will provided you mic everything properley. for the guitar and bass i recoment getting a di box for each to record through.

the headphone jack is prettymuch going to do the same at the RCA out, for a metronome you want to have it as a track you can remove.

hardware wise all i can see is their the same, they both have 2 rca ins 2 rca outs 1 headphone port 1 digital port 1 monitor switch and a headphone volume controll

they might have different specifics light better quality but i cant see it.

they will work with ableton

Okay. (Im a noob) so if i had a mixer, and i had this thing and wanted to record drums, i could just connect it via RCA to the mixer and in with the USB and it will record it directly without latency lagging issues? would it have a fuzzy sound?

yes it will work with any software and if you cant find the setting for where the output goes you can set it as default sound for windows and everything goes through it

i tried a(cheap) audio usb adapter, but the sound was awful - couldn't get it to work...so would this be better?

yes just take the tape decks cables and plug em in and your away. also make sure the monitor switch is in the off position and connect headphones to the socket on this.

Ok so it is 2 in 2 out because its stereo so you can run in mono and use 2 outs wich logicly means you want to know if you can have 4 mono outs and simple answer is No. its not possible and ive never seen an interface that can do that
