  • Thannk you very-very much for this!

I did not unscrew though, just pried it out with a needle - worked perfect!

  • Great tutorial. When you buy a mobile repar kit these days you usually get a couple of plastic 'blades' which can be used to ease off the casing and inner screen, to prevent the chance of cutting yourself. ;¬)

  • How would you replace the camera lens on the faceplate? does it pull off just like the top lens that is in the video? Would you be able to describe briefly how it could be done? Thank you! :)

  • thank u for this vid !!!

  • Nicely done! I wish I'd found this video _before_ I bought a replacement Razr on eBay! Still though, I then went and bought a new glass piece and followed these instructions. Piece-o-cake, really. Now I have a new glass piece installed on my old phone and a "spare" Razr just in case. Nice bit of repair demonstration! Thanks for uploading it!

  • Great job!!! One thing I found useful was to put a piece of tape over the broken lens, to keep it together and from small pieces falling aobut.

  • great video, thanks for putting it up. But there's no reason to take it to bits, just get a sharp edged blade and prise out the glass, starting with where it's broken. Comes out easy. Then clean up the exposed area of old glue before sticking in the replacement glass. Simples. One word of warning, be very careful not to damage the orange ribbon connectors on the left hand side of the glass.

  • Fucking Razrs! Break all the time and it's impossible to take that shit apart.

  • thanks for the video but will a part like that for a V3m fit in the space

  • The way you change the lense. is very harfull for finger and nails. the smashed glass could cut your finger skin.. better if you use a non sharped cutter the small blade could take the glass in one piece in a better way.

  • notes:

there was a small piece of paper on my replacement glass on the inside, presumably to keep adhesive off of the clear part. it stayed in place and i didn't catch it until the phone was reassembled. the one in the video did not have this. do yourself a favor and double check.

after assembly i noticed that my camera lens had shifted. it still works fine but the red inside lens is clearly not centered on the exterior protective lens.

mine took a t5 driver, not t6 as stated.

    great video.

  • This was so helpful I had ordered one on ebay but thought it was too difficult. Thanks to this I changed successfully many thanks

  • where did u get the small bit

  • in the video he said to use a t6 but i jusd did mine and it took a t5. luckily i bought a set of 7 for $6.00 on ebay.

the title of the auction i won was: 7PC MICRO MINI TORX / STAR BIT SET T4 TO T9.

    amazon carries them as well.

  • Thank you for taking the time to produce this video. It was clear and detailed. I get to try this myself tonight.

  • Interesting video but why take the phone apart? a small craft knife or stanley knife gently slid around the edge of the old screen lifting as you go will easily prise the old screen out.Just make sure that the knife blade is kept away from the ribbon cable lurking under the the edge of the lense. Gently remove the old sticky left behind and pop in the new lense.

  • Thanks man^^

  • el que filma es de terror, sale todo borroso y el tecnico es medio madera le dio flor de laburo sacar la tapa luego de los tronillos ja ja jaj a

  • yah, u could replace a razr screen...... OR u could snap ur phone in half!!! check out my video!

  • This video was very helpful. I just replaced the top lens. Hope I don't ever have to do this again. Taking the plastic top off was a pain.

  • where did you found your lense? or on wich site? and can i buy it on the website? Thanks

  • try ebay, there are many there

  • i dont care now i get a lg bliss XD

  • Thx for the helpful video. This is an excellent use of YouTube.

  • What are the following: bits, bin, knackered, sticky bit? haha just kidding

    thanks for the vid

  • wow thanks. this costs about $50 to get it fixed at the phone repair store.

  • Excellent Thanks for the tips

  • Thank you so much!! I just finished fixing my phone because of your video!!

  • thanx this video is going to help so much as i sat on my phone and the whole screen shattered. i found a shop on ebay selling both replacement screen glass and camera glass for £2.99

  • Actually.. My little sister bought the screwdriver set from ebay to repair her razr and it was only $4 for like a 20 piece set. And the razr's look hard to work on.. but she can build a phone in little time.

  • This was a great video, thanks, now if only you would do the same for a RZR2 V9 :)

  • good show mate!

  • great ... do it even faster, so that nobody can follow you...and who the hell has those screwdrivers at home...isnt there an alternate tool to loosen those screws?

  • then go to your provider and let them jack you up for a new phone. those screwdrivers are prolly $20 for a set. not to mention this is meant for people who like to repair shit.

  • At the beginning he says you need a T screwdriver and then at the end he says T5!! So which is it??????

  • worst camera man! and you need to learn how to take a damn phone appart faster without breaking it!

  • people who've never done this before don't want to see it done fast - they want to see it done slowly (and correctly) so they can follow it. and the quality of the camera

    a) is way better than the cameras used to make a lot of youtube videos and

    b) doesn't matter for this video. there's no fine detail you need to see.

  • can you show how to replace the usb charge port on the v3xx? thanks.

  • thank you so much. this video helped me fix my phone & im glad to report that everything went okay.

    thanks again-

    steve

  • why are u changing the lense? does it fix the inside lcd screen also? my lcd screen are not working. how do u fix that?

  • Sweet deal! Your video helped me replace my screen, although I did mine *slightly* differently. What I did was leave the entire phone intact, and just took a thin metal edge (knife) and pryed the screen off, being careful not to damage the metal casing or scratch the LCD underneath.

The new screen had some extra overhang on the sticky material, so I used it to remove all the leftover glue. Then a can of duster-air took care of any dust.

But yes sir, your video helped loads, thanks. :)

  • thnx mate,you save my mobile phone!lol

  • gently my ass! you know how hard i had to push between the edges? I broke all my nails before i decided to pry it apart with the screw driver!

  • Fantastic. My screen's badly cracked and needs replacing. Many thanks for the video tutorial.

  • Many thanks Mr phone technician, I just fixed my own in just 10 mins, the shop wanted £15, whereas with your help just £1.

Keep on saving money for those who need it,

    right on........

  • I've only got a T6 screwdriver. Is that going to be small enough? i don't want to destroy the screw.

That and I saw some suction cup screen removal thing on ebay. In theory it would just grab onto the screen and pull it off without having to remove the face plate. anyone know if that would actually work?

  • Where can but that part? I need to know asap.

  • ebay

  • Thank you online dean your a great help can i bye u and have u working in my shop plzzzzzzzz

  • Great video! My only question is that after following all the steps and getting the new cover installed, the 3 silver side buttons no longer work, although they worked before I did this. I've now taken apart the cover 3 times but, no matter what I do, I can't get them to work. Do you have any suggestions on what I should do? All the keypad buttons work. It's just the three silver side buttons. Many thanks for any help you can send my way!

  • if u have the front off and the phone is on do the "buttons" work without the little silver parts?

  • I actually ended up getting a new phone, but thanks for writing back anyway.

  • Where can you buy a screen for a V3c from?

  • try ebay

  • hey
