Scott, I really enjoyed this presentation. I have two (2) baritone ukes that I'd like to have installed the MISO Acoustic pickup. I live in Eastchester, NY. My email is:
This pick up system works better than anything I have ever seen. Steel and nylon string. I made a solid body nylon string and it sounded amazing. Also into a dobro guitar, it also sounded great. For me I put the hole for the transducer from the bottom up for easier installation and it was just fine. The only thing I noticed was that the saddle had to sit into the slot easily so that there was even presure onto the transducer. I will use this Mi Si trio for everything. Darren Drew, D.Drew guitars
This was an excellent tutorial regarding installing the endpin jack and the pickup element. The most important part, and the part I was anticipating and waiting for was not mentioned. MiSi recommends the saddle lean forward slightly which requires sanding the bottom of the saddle at an angle. Maybe this really isn't that critical. Maybe the most important part is having the bottom of the saddle flat down against the element for a balanced sound? Any thoughts?
You made a comment that the player is left handed when you drilled the hole for saddle pickup. I also see that it has a pick guard for a right hander. I am a Lefthander that plays with strings set for right hander Ala Dick Dale.
But I don't see the reason why you said it is for a left handed. Does it really matter?

I simply like to have the hole for the transducer on the bass side of the saddle slot.
Just personal preference. This is a righty guitar that was converted to lefty.
