  • Fuckin superb. If you guys had authentic gear, and were reenactors...this would be even more awesome.

  • @Bigmoonproductions well thank you very much sir!

  • Really good, do u use Sony movie studio? Or AF. Also the ending was great. And good choice in music

  • @DaRealPrinceofPinoys I use sony, haha thanks!

  • @jdambrosio cool, same here

  • cinematic quality was superb, but the accuracy was way off. over all it was great film :)

  • @mdog917 well thanks

  • Very good! only thing i would like you to consider is for you to track the motion of the film so that your smoke clouds from the gun wont stay in the middle of the screen. that way they will stay where they would in real life.

  • @cboyer11 Yeah, I'm gonna try and work more on that, thanks!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

  • @leana051609 thanks!

  • why dont you have more views than some trash person that sings about friday

  • The story line kicked ass! Im not kidding. Im not sure if your a reenactor or not, but If you used guys who had badass impression it would of been awesome! If you ever get a chance to make it up to mid-west Illinois I'll help ya out. Im a reenactor.

  • @Jebber07 Thanks!! Nahh im not a reenactor, but that sounds pretty cool man!

  • nice work!

  • Nice film! :D What music did you use? Thanks :)

  • @TheBritishFPS Thanks! Most of the music is from God's and Generals, no problem!

  • Just saying, price tag on the rifle at 0:59.

  • @Buchholz101 haha, yeah i realized that earlier

  • @jdambrosio Still a great video, and the fake beard made me laugh.

  • Awesome I love the Civil War!

  • @ArmenianLegion It makes a great topic for film, thanks!

  • Sir, all of your video's have been epic, some of the best I've seen, here on You Tube!!

I would only ask this, (and it is in no way a reflection of your movie making or posting) please show blood on the uniforms/clothing, and bayonet useage with same blood on clothing and bayonet,(on with-drawing) whrer applicable in your films.

Love all your films, and as a sub, look forward to seeing what you come up with next. Wish I could do what you are doing!!!!

  • @paramedic501 Thank you very much! I'll take that all into consideration, thanks again!

  • Well done sir, keep up the Good work!!

  • @paramedic501 Thank you!!

  • Dude this was awesome! pretty shweet for a low budget film

  • @doodskater77 Thanks!

  • @mb74012 Thanks you very much!

  • Extremely well done.

    absolutley fantastic.

I wish with everything going on that i myself had time to make short films. Just haven't gotten around to it latley :?

    5/5

    Great work!

  • @KatushaShortFilms Thanks! Yeah its hard to find the time to do stuff like this, but if you really love it you usually find the time

  • That Was Brilliant

  • @GoldenGalaxyInc Thank you

  • I liked it, my only comment for pause is that I thought the guy's speech was a little overdone, other than that it's good.

  • @bnryden Thanks!

  • I thought that was a good piece of work. Perhaps the stubble could have been applied with a little more subtlety as its obvious artificiality was distracting. Other than that, well up to your usual high standard

  • @WildWestGuy1 haha, yeah the stubble was a struggle. Thanks!

  • this is your best project yet!!!!!! amazing creativity and very realistic gun sounds and muzzle flashes for the weapons. Music was great 2! Keep it coming!

  • @MsProductions29 Thanks!

  • and what effects u use

  • @videoww2soldier98 Action Essentials 2

  • best shot fall at 3:04

  • Beautiful camera work...the images in the movie are truly stunning. And I'm glad to see a larger cast in the film...you are an extremely versatile performer Jonathan, but having a few others in the movie offers a little more variety in the film.

If there is a critique I'd have of the film, it may be that the story would perhaps be a little more effective if it were a little bit longer. That, and I think the beard was a little odd.

Are you a fan of Westerns? :)

  • @andell1 Thanks! It's so hard to get these larger casts for films, especially cause a lot of my actors left for college, but it seemed to work out. Thanks again! Yeah, the time limit was because of the film festivals, they only allow 5 minutes for the short film category. Haha he beard. Yeah I love westerns, I'm glad to see they are kinda back in the habbit of filming westerns for movies nowadays.

  • @jdambrosio You know, after I wrote what I did, I was afraid you might see it as more critical than I had intended. You're a great film maker. :) I hadn't realized that you were submitting your film for a short film at a film festival- how was it received? :)

I wonder if you ever thought about portraying a more contemporary military homecoming: for instance, an Iraq or Afghan war veteran returning home, trying to reintegrate. Lots of opportunities to research the challenges they face.

  • @andell1 Oh, I really enjoy getting all sorts of feedback, so thank you very much. I really, really like the idea of the Afgan war veteran returning home. The short film festival actually isn't until December, but we'll have to see how it does! I'm pretty excited. Thanks again, for the feedback.

  • @mevidek ehh whatever

  • good job mate! very nice quality and a nice feel to the overall film!

  • @rifraf Thanks!
