The sun is setting, the sky is a deep violet colour, there are clouds here and there, lined with pink and gold, my room is dark, I'm wearing my Soundgarden T-shirt, all black to be specific, there's incence burning, and this song is playing.
For some reason, it all melds together beautifully. <3
@TheGreatBritishGamer No way man, it's trippy as fuck! I love the days when bands weren't afraid to do something different. Personally, I love the tune.
@jerman2003 It's good, but it does seem a little shallow to me compared to all of the other amazing tunes on the album except maybe kickstand (it's short as well).
@TheGreatBritishGamer Ya, I get you. I find Kickstand a bit meh, but still a quality track. I'm not a huge fan of the singles that were played over and over on the radio like Spoonman or Black Hole Sun. They're excellent songs, but overplayed. My favourite off Superunknown is 'Like Suicide'. I disagree completely about 'Half', it's a very original and different song for the band, reminds me of trippy Indian music, a nice closer to an epic of an album.
@jerman2003 Black Hole Sun is the only song you could say was overplayed, and now, it's rarely ever on. I have never not liked a song because people played it a lot, or a lot of people liked it.
"I still hear Robert Plant somewhere in there..." you may be hearing the indo european influence that is Kim Thayil, the man is the premier writer of that day and this day. in my opinion.
I love this track. It puts me in a deep state of mind. Specially when it gets to the second part. I've extended that part to 3:50. When I'm in the freeway all I do is smash like never before, not caring what may happen... is a great feeling.
there's something about this song that keeps me listening, the lines "a hand glove hides the doors", "when i hand my love in i'll be done", "Mr. Full, Mr. Have kills Mr. Empty Hand" mean something peculiar to me, from beginning to middle it's strangely magnificent, then from on out its beautiful like you could watch a sun set with it playing in the background, bottom line i love this song regardless if its considered the worst on this album
@bunker790 i think its much better than both my wave and mailman, possibly even let me drown, i guess i like the latter "half" of this album much more than the first
I have to disagree, I usually love (and with love I mean, LOVE) Ben Shepherd's contributions in Soundgarden, but this sounds just pointless to me. Sorry
This song reminds me of Janes Addiction. I am so glad Soundgarden is back, I miss trippy unholy, messy, dirty music that makes you feel something other than completely retarded like the new music that comes out these days. Long Live Soundgarden!

The first half of the song sounds kinda like Led Zeppelin, but the last half (starting at 1:26) reminds me of Gorillaz. Don't ask why.

@RATMfan92 Yep, kinda like Black Mountain Side. I don't know much Gorillaz.
