Message to you guys and the recent comment by Doosh1000 - yes, violence is the answer. I work with an organization called the Gothic Regime, who has statistically reduced gun crime in the Area of Barnsley by 80% through violence and through its stereotypical images.

Tbh, I think this video was completely unnecessary. The only negative comments been made by the media/govt about youth, are the youth which break the law/dont work/have chavish/yobbish attributes etc. This isn't a battle of the ages, it's simply comes down to the type of person.

What does an ipod, my time and a boat have to do with improving my image, i dont really care - the older generation just seem to be a bunch of fat cats stealing peoples tax money and laughing all the way to the bank.

Here's the thing do you do all of these things on a daily bases: You are a kid who goes around in a large group swearing at passers by, with your hood up and cap underneath, wearing stupid trackies and trainers all seasons...smoking a fag like it's 'cool', holding a bottle of alcohol when under age thinking it's 'cool', talking about taking/smoking drugs in public like it's 'cool'.

Starting fights with random people you see, (especially when they won't give you money or buy you cigarettes). Normally these groups hang outside a shop doing all those things and walk around the village vandalising. Don't do these things? Then it doesn't affect you. The 'thug' label was around when I was a kid and teenager. This never affected me. Why? Because I was nothing to do with those groups!

Basically there isn't a problem for you personally. Don't associate yourself with those people, sign petitions that thugs should do community service etc. I have signed petitions that's putting it into action. This is a very good idea don't get me wrong, it will show not all those who are young are thugs, but the 'thug' hype is created by the media. There are thugs, but it is up t the law to sort this out, we have to petition for it to be changed. I'm from the UK that's how we handle it.

I'm 27... do I count as a youth still? No, didn't think so. lol... but I do love my ipod. It carries my heart and soul - because music really is everything to me, I get through at least a couple albums worth of music a day. I invested in a ipod adaptor for my car stereo too and I used it to annoy my mum on a drive to Liverpool last month - we listened to Muse the whole way there thanks to the wonder of the ipod. ;) Good luck raising your money!

I lost my old ipod (it died of old age quietly in its sleep) and I was so upset afterwards! Most kids carry their ipods around with them, and though it sounds sad, they become a sort of friend that you can rely on to pick you up with music that you love

Our school uses Mac computers for our art classes (Video Production, Computer Graphics, Advertising and Design), and I can NOT tell you how amazing they are. Up until these classes, I've never used a Mac, but now I know that when I go to college, I'll be getting a Mac.

Shuffles are amazing, they're tiny and efficient thanks to the lack of screen, which I don't need because I know what the songs in my own library are! And now that they have voice over functionality I wouldn't need a screen even if I didn't know what was playing. <3 Finally an mp3 player that is just that.

Uh...guys...why not Microsoft? Gates is a huge charity man and the cultural impact is still there (most of you guys are running Windows, in addition to your xbox and whatever else you've got around.) The ipod / iphone is what set the two apart really... The market share of the ipod is huge, the iphone is one of the most sought after products right now, and there are obvious ways to get them into a video response - I doubt we'd get many responses about operating systems whether it was Apple or MS.

Plus in my experience, people just don't get excited about MS!
