Boehner is the congressman from my district in Troy. He is a bit more conservative than I like but overall hes a good congressman, the democrats really haven't put up any decent candidates to defeat him and after he gained the status of leader of the minority whip, it seems even more doubtful.

These guys care more about telecom corporations then they do our security. Although one must know that the fisa bill is not expiring, a few provisions of it are. The government can still wiretap, they just need a warrant (which they can get up to 3 days after they start wiretapping). Its in the constitution, god forbid we follow that document and insist on a little oversight.

(20/20 or Dateline) of the CIA agent who interrogated Khalid Sheik Muhammed and waterboarded him. This agent said it was very effective and that Khalid Sheik Camelpissdrinker was broken after 30 seconds on the board and provided good, actionable intelligence about an ongoing terror operation. I say it's a good technique if the big bad Sheik only lasted 30 seconds but suffered no injuries as a results.

I'm for the immunity clause simply to thwart the trial lawyers. I hate trial lawyers. I got a two month extention on our Honda's transmission warranty because of a class action lawsuit, but the trial lawyers got literally tens of millions of dollars from Honda. When I got my $10 check for the Microsoft settlement, I ripped it up and threw it in the garbage. I wanted nothing to do with this legal extortion.

Tyler, it is a very common practice for a president to fire all of the lawyers chosen by the other party.. both parties regularly do this.. but the problem with what Bush did was he fired them in mid term and he fired only the ones who weren't playing ball with what his administration wanted.. thats very odd, and it's a first time.. so democrats have a right to be pissed.. there isnt huge investigations on this for nothing.. it's kind of a big deal given the timing and all..
