I an working on a nether lab right now. When it is done it will be 100% self sufficent. But i have a little problem: wheat isnt growing, and i dont want to have to hack in grass to get pigs and cows for food. Any tips for growing wheat in the nether?

Actually, if that lab has an environmental controls, IE an air conditioner, there WOULD be a pressure difference, but it would be slight. The hot air outside would have higher pressure than the cool air inside. Just imagine a Ghast shattering a window, and all the inhabitants feeling that eriee warm breeze flowing down the hallway.

So I have a question. Have you learned anything about the life forms that live in the Nether? They seem rather... Odd. Even though some people already have houses in the Nether. They wouldn't take time to observe life forms. So, Do the Ghasts and Pigmen have any intrest in certian objects. Because normal animals have intrest in Glowstone and Grass blocks.

@HackedNewbTV I've Lived in the nether for a long time now ghast seem to like the lava which falls down from the top Where-as pigmen like to run around in the grassy areas and your other buildings.

The portal in the nether will link to the closest corresponding active portal in the overworld and vice versa. So the space station portal must be the nearest portal relative to the lab alpha portal. But the lab alpha portal must be the nearest nether portal relative to the portal sphere. That is why you can enter through the portal sphere and exit to the space station.

Hey Zamboro, YOu REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY should install the finite liquid mod. Trust me it'll go really well with your underwater colony since the water is much more realistic. There is also a real danger of the colony getting flooded however if someone is to breach the colony

The wheat should grow alright... I've grown it with only 1 block of space before.

I'm more interested in how you got water into the Nether. Whenever I try to bucket it in, it just evaporates instantly. (Finitewater does not, though, so there's that...)
