  • how can u watch while driving?

  • its actually meant for the passengers to use...not the driver. Alot of drivers put on a movie while on road trips and their kids watch from the back seat.

  • how about put on a seat belt please, im buying mine sometime soon thought

  • would you care to share hows it done? Is there a link where we can find that info?

  • The basic method behind the interface is a module that wires in behind the radio. The radio itself relies on position and movement information from gps as well as the vehicle wheel speed sensors and gear shift position. Internally the radio sets a "no DVD video" flag when it sees movement from any of these sources. The module fuctions by interrupting the movement information but only to the radio and only when you want to watch DVD's.

  • when can we expect to get it? whats the price gunna be @?

  • we have actually been installing the interfaces locally here in chicago. We are almost ready with a kit except for some special connectors which are taking time to locate.

We expect to have all the parts and be ready to ship around the middle of november. Price will be somewhere in the neighborhood of $400 US.

  • navigation still work?

  • yes, nav still works: the override turns off when you switch to nav so it gets the speed info back

  • its done with a special interface that i built to feed the command the proper signals to get the dvd to play while moving.

  • and, how did u do that? ;p

  • well thas a long story but needless to say it involves lots or research followed by lots of development.
