  • I'm going to give this guy my business just coz he's so dam cute lol

  • Do you have a plan of your machine? I want to build harvester machine like your too. Thanks

  • They are worms; or bait to be exact, who cares?

I don’t worry about hurting them as I impale them onto a fishing hook.

Why would I care if they had a shaky childhood?

  • @Mostlyfun Well, composting worms are too small to be bait worms. You're better off with your garden variety.

  • that looks really violent for sperating worms. I certainly would be shaken(sorry)

  • @bestSVMS It doesn´t look very friendly to the worms...

  • Why is this dude putting worms in his washing machine?

  • Awesome! I didn't know Ray Romano was a worm farmer. :) Joking aside, that's one cool machine.

  • What a great idea! Wish my dad would have kept his old machine. I'd try that, too.

  • that is so interesting!!! that looks like one fun job :)

  • thanks for the idea...!

  • Jeff very cool using that old winnowing machine...

    have a great day

    Jeff

  • doesn't this shock the worms? i am new to this but i would think they dont like it

  • @TnWormsCastings They probably won't "like" it, but they'll survive intact.

  • cool

  • You should put a safety guard on that spinning wheel. You could get seriously hurt that way. Too many people in ER's caused by accidents from machines like that.... just concerned cuz you got your face too close to that thing.

  • @andayamartin

    What, are you with OSHA?

Farmers are around "spinning" things from the time they're 3 years old....and as you can see from this video, he still has all his fingers. In other words, unlike some idiots that lack the common sense to use a ladder without first reading all the government mandated warning labels...farmers and ranchers still possess the common sense to "be careful" around things that could injure them... their livelihood depends on it!

    PS

  • I believe he used a vibratory screener/ sifter. One screen size for the eggs and baby worms the other for the castings.

  • Very nice video. What type of a machine is that? And what did you have to do to it to make it separate the castings from the worms and other stuff?
