At best he contradicted over 50 official Church teachings on Ecumenism, Salvation and worship, and at worst he was a heretical antipope. I know these are difficult facts to swallow particularly if you dont know the truth. I was a big fan. I met him a number of times when I was studying in Rome and was always impressed.
