  • killer act, still...classic music, still bringing it to everyone that's willing to listen...damn good...

  • believe it or not , that is a 1978 song.

  • page and zeppelin? sounds like pink floyd.

  • This has to be One Of The Best Sounding Shows recorded, compared to everything else. The first time I didn't know but coming back to it WOW! These guys have brought me joy!

  • We Will Be There July 10th New Orleans USA!

  • Strawberry Fest in Ponchatoula La a couple years ago.

  • What an amazing band. Zebra, I owe countless hours of joy and inspiration. Thanks for all the great music!

  • Strawberry Fest, Ponchatula, La.

    30+ yrs. ZEBRA still rockin'....

Brought back so many memories. Wish someone had a video from one of their concerts on the riverboat The President!!!!

  • Does anyone have any video of Saturnalia?

  • See ya at the Cletus bra

  • Randy Jackson is amazing. My throats hurts listening to him hit the high notes.

PS- Bass player is off key singing. Bag of Shhhhh for you!

  • Come see Zebra at the St. Cletus Oyster Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 8 p.m. 3600 Claire Ave., Gretna, LA 70053. Admission is FREE!!! Come early and bring your appetite, as there will be a huge variety of South Louisiana's favorite foods, draft and bottled beer, wine, daiquiris, and more.

  • I can't believe his voice is in such great shape!

  • Amazing how Randy can play a lead and sing at the same time... who else does it?

  • I bought their first album back in the 80s. I said, ''they are the Zep & Rush of the eighties''. Commercially they were not successful in the era of Glam Metal.

But, their melodies are rich and will live forever

  • Awesome live performance from one of the most

underated bands ever, Zebra are still a class act

    Randy's guitar playing is magical.

  • this mix sounds like it's off of the board. too bad. it put's Randy's voice too far in front of the music. this should never have made it here. RockStorm, wtf?

  • it's damn good, what do you expect, it's outside

  • Love this song but the vocals need to be mixed down...they are too over the top of everyone else.

  • thank you, Rock, for sharing this. I saw Randy in concert last night. They did a Led Zep tribute concert. He sounds just like Robert Plant. I sure hope he'll tour with Zep on their reunion tour. I never heard of Randy or Zebra before, but I just became a fan of their just now. :)

  • Take Your Fingers From My Hair (Live)

  • Dude. Randy Jackson was the guest singer at this thing in Louisville, KY. where they played led zeppelin music along with a orchestra. And if you want to hear someone who can sing like Robert Plant then you have to listen to him sing Led Zeppelin. He was great!

  • he did the same thing on Long Island last summer

  • He's not a guest, he IS the lead singer of this concert series.

  • does anyone know the effects he used in the solo at the end to get that tone its so awsome

  • man they should make a movie about them, call it the band that never gave up, there like the led zepplin of the 80s n 90s, randy jackson is the man \m/

  • Zebra totally Rocked Rocklahoma 2008.. WISH U WERE HERE.. Don't miss next year!

  • Do you or anyone else here in youtube land have a close up home made video of Randy Jackson playing the song TIME [from the 3.V album] on his 12 string? Live he usually plays it before they do "Who's behind the Door". I am trying to learn it and I am unsure of a few parts (as the song is in a funky tuning [GGDGBD]). If you have such a video, please, please post it. Thanks a zillion in advance!

  • Glenn Rogers and/or Matt Wiggins have it. They are both MS residents. Don't know what their plans are for their huge archieves of unb-bee-livable vids.........good luck. Money might not be the MAIN concern.

  • How can I contact them to ask?

  • Call Wyatt Waters @ his work#; listed in Clinton, MS. As you may know, several clubs thru the 70's & 80's were filming in Jackson. eg. ELI, LILLIAN AXE, SIDEWINDER, THE WINDOWS, & etc. J-Town is a little funky & people are REALSHY when it comes to talk about 8mm or 7mm .... if ya know what I mean.

  • these guys are just amazing live. saw them in Tampa. guy gelso is very underrated in my humble opinion. Loved them in 83 and still do!

  • I was there,

    Awesome concert !

  • Randy, you always rock. I remember backstage in houston, awesome dude.

  • Nice job! These guys must have had fun at this show. Great guitar work there.

  • We have to get Jack Starr in there!!!

  • not bad...vocals sounded a little stretched out of his range, must be that getting old thing.

the band was pretty decent as a whole and still sound very good, too bad they didnt get a bigger bang back when they were on air.

  • The Guitar playing here just blows me away at the closing of the song. One of my favorite Zebra tunes.

  • Iam from Mexico and iheard them since 84 also i have his L:P:s Ksts, and cds. i hope see them this year in concert, probavly in one festival close to New Orleans in october hopefully, bye, bye.

  • I know Guy personally. He is the sweetest person ever. He helped me so much with figuring out John Bonham's drum licks. I love Guy's style. BASHING.

  • A great band, and a great song. I am happy to find Zebra here. - From Korea with love of rock.

  • I was at this show directly in front of Randy. It was a glorious day. Great fun.

  • I was there, they kicked ass. Ponchatoula Louisiana Strawberry Fest 2005, I was FUCKING HAMMERED and ZEBRA topped it of. I love these guys.

  • Bravo Zebra. I believe that I am among few listener from Kuala Lumpur when this band song first reached here somewhere in 1983.Still love their music very much.

  • im adding randy to my list............

  • I have emailed Randy Jackson and he does answer Zebra needs to come to Chicago again..ZEBRA is still great band!!..I like their first and 3.V albums!

  • YES RANDY INDEED DOES ANWSER! He is a very cool level headed indivdual. Going to Rocklohoma this July to see Zebra!

  • The Boathouse! I haven't heard of that place in a while! Saw Foreigner there in 92 or 93. Takes me back to NAS Oceana.

  • Great band great times.WBAB heavy rotation and that first album was great.

Steeeplechase and Ratrace Choir were the other very good bands of the early 80's Long Island,Westchester and Connecticut.

Detroit's in Port Chester.......Hammerheads West Islip.....and Twister Sister at The Night Owl in Norwalk Connecticut.

  • I know 2 of them are from the south but their 2nd home was long island ny.I saw them at an carnival in l.i. 1982 and it was worth watching it in the rain.Wear are all my friends from smith town?

  • i think i was at the same show,it was the WBAB summerfest, outdoors in the rain in brentwood off the old exit 54 off the LIE.remember the show well, those were the good days,i still see randy jackson in the selden area every now and then.

  • oh my God this brings back great memories of 1980 hanging out in long island n.y.

  • Who's the bald guy playin'drums?

  • guy gelso on drums...He was just getting over cancer treatments.

  • I thought he played like him,but I didn't recognize him sans hair. What a fantastic drummer! He fits this band perfect. How is Guy doing now?

  • Where was this at???

  • Louisiana

  • Thanks so much! Their debut album will always have a special place in my heart.

  • too two lost for open doors. damn truman show, again!

  • Ole Man Rivers. Must have been the last night they were open ... then the twilight Zone hit. What a connection I made.

  • ZEBRA ROCKS!!!!

  • Hullabaloo Albany, NY, warm up band was Sducer. Great band and personalities these guys have.

  • Love the solo in this song! I'm 33 now, but saw them in Gulfport, MS when I was 15. What an awesome show and the crowd loved every moment of it. Good memories. Thanks for posting the vid.

  • ....yeah & Bob Dylan's live vocals alone sound great, jackass! For a 3 piece band, these guys ROCK. Great hook, great solo, great fills, well written & arranged. If you want perfect vocals on a live performance, do a search for "Britney Spears" otherwise, SHUT UP & PLAY YOUR GUITAR!!!!

  • The attempts at harmonies here are HORRENDOUS ! Jackson sounds like he's got a massive cold, too.

  • dylanbob i heard you have a great tonsils i mean vocals.didnt you also have the fastest selling debut alblum in atlantic history!!oh no that was zebra hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ok, I will go out on the limb with you on this. Especially since he calls for his vocals to be turned up. I know it's live, and hopefully a board recording, cause the vocals were way too loud with no blending or reverb. I am also a big Zebra fan, but his high notes were a little shaky. Still a great band, but like Boston, just not the same live. OK diehards, take your shots!!!!

  • This is an incredible band! I am in high school again. The only problem is that I look older and these guys don't!

  • Zebra is an awesome band - Rock on Randy,Guy and Felix

  • I saw Randy Jackson on Saturday playing all Led Zeppelin with a symphony orchestra,it was awsome!!!

  • The last time I saw these guys was in Houston of 83. This video really takes me back. Thank you YouTube and God bless whoever uploaded this video.

  • thank-you for the god bless.....smiles

  • WOW i'm here en mexico, and es almost imposible get music from zebra, can someone send me mp3 songs for this guys? thanxs excelent video

  • Love Zebra!!!

  • out there, somewhere.

  • One of the best 3 piece bands ever!

  • For sure!!

  • Dose any one rember them at hammer Heads LI

  • the very 1st time i saw them, was at hammerheads w. islip, we were trying to get tickets to see crosby, stills, nash at nassau coliseum, that night but show was sold out, so we decided to go to hammerheads,it was on randy jacksons b-day,thats how i discovered them, today i still love those guys, alot of fun times at the long island shows, must have saw them 30 times at least.

  • Forget about rushing that stage show, that deputy looks ready to kick some ass...

  • do you have more to post from this show? if you do post it

  • While their own stuff was great people might not remember how great there covers of Zepp and Rush were as

well. Fantastic Band Go Louisana Boys.

  • one of my favorite songs and albums ever !

  • anyone know where to buy the DVD? This was our local weekend zep cover band on L.I. inthe early 80s! They still rock!

  • Hammer Heads

  • pm productions kicks ass

  • Incredible video. Incredible band. 26 year zebra fan. Randy, Felix and Guy ROCK!

  • Zebra Rocks, them people at the state fair got an awesome show , probly for free. Rock on

  • I was at this show. It was the Strawberry festival in Ponctatula(sp?) in 05. Probably the best show I ever saw from them.

  • It's a board mix.Vocals are always loud.

  • Really an incredibly talented band. This song along with the others from this LP is one of the best.

  • Not great sound on this performance but then again most live recordings suck. They do always rock never a bad show live.
