  • Before I do my splits I always lift my legs up into the air or prop them up against something and stretch towards them. I recommend this for everyone. I have been trying to grab my leg in the back and touch it to my head for a couple of weeks with mixed success.

    shes just showing us the out come. look at what shes doing carefully.

    for example the split. go little by little day one, stretch out as far as you can. then each day slowly try to go a little but farther. within a couple of weeks you'll be able to do it. so stop telling her that shes not showing you how.

    This lady acts like it can happen in 3 seconds.

  • @katerin625 I started at 16, Im 18 and I have the 3 splits and even about 200º oversplits

  • i just want to learn how to get good flexability on my legs so i can do a chuck norris round house

  • im so close to doing a split i farther on my right foot then my left i practice mh splits every other day im so close like three or 4 inches away is there any way i can get farther to the ground faster

  • Just practice and practice and practice and practice and practice, and maybe in about four weeks of devoted stretching, you'll be able to do the spilts!!!!!^^

  • @itsme123445 No. lol. Im trying at my age, and I can say that it's ridiculously tough and frustrating. You have to start early to see good progress, but very very slow progression if you are an adult.

  • @jojo11137 you have to make your split a little bit centered or use an arm as help to split upright and then I bend my leg up.

  • I've tried to do a split but it hurts. The only way I'm going to do it try over and over on the trampoline. Which is where I feel the most comfortable doing stretches. Anyone know as a basic beginner in trying to do contortion any good step by step instructions videos?

  • @byellowrobe23 i started off like that then i practiced it about 3-4 times every day untill i got it but once youve done it the best thing to do is maybe repeat it to get your legs used to it and even if you have it keep doing it atleast 2 times a day or you could loose it

  • @byellowrobe23 Keep trying and stretching...it will come with time.

  • @byellowrobe23 you have to keep stretching the way every day spreding your legs farther apart each time and holding in for 10-20 secondes, it will take time but you'll get it.

  • @byellowrobe23 i have been a contortionist for three years and i can tell you this: it is no t something you will learn in one day. Have someone either push on your legs a little harder each day or try doing it yourself by going lower everyday

  • @byellowrobe23 stretch A LOT like at least 15 mins three times a day if yhu want to achieve it quick =D

  • @munchesoncrackers62 but it will still take a long time - months if you have average flexibility to start with - my guess ;)

  • @96GmusicG96 listen you wanna do it or what ? it takes time and dedication either way but its takes less if you do it like i said OR be lazy and never get there ever cause theres no short cut to flexibility hun

  • @byellowrobe23 Easy, oversplits : ) they help with flexibility a lot : )

  • @byellowrobe23 You practice. If you practice everyday with warmups for 20 minutes each time you practice, you might get it very quickly. It depends on the person. I got my splits in 2 weeks with devotion and patience. Don't push yourself farther down than you can; you're putting yourself at risk for injury. Wear clothes that can move with you. Once you have gotten your splits, practice EVERYDAY unless you want to loose it. I lost mine a bit because I couldn't practice. Work BOTH legs. Good luck!

  • @byellowrobe23 try to go dow inch by inch but stay in each inch for as long as you can to get comftorble

  • i always feel my back leg is bent even though other people say im in the splits and im going crazy lol. anybody got any tips for lenghtening my back leg. also i find it very hard to sit in plits for a long time. but i suppose that will come in time?

  • i always feel like that too. haha.

    it usually helps if you're facing the direction of your front leg and you keep your hip down.

    instead of putting your arms parallel with your legs, make them perpendicular.

    and yeah, it takes time to get comfortable in that position.

    but just keep practicing. :)

  • I can do the splits but I don't think anybody is going to be able to do it by watching a video.. It takes a lot of practise [at least for me it did]

  • @xXDisneyForeverXx At least SOMEONE has some sense! Everyone seems to think these are instant things, but they really do take time and patience. I'm almost there... :D
