another great band that makes me proud to be scottish. But also gives me a dilema. When im in the car, which album do i play? Hipsway by hipsway? or strange kind of love?. Im only 21 years old, but you just cant fault the originallity of this stuff. Give me this over bellend gaga and fat thighs rhianna any day of the week. Songs written by song writers and not lip synced on live performances.
@wimblewomble21 The only black guy was Steve Ferrone - the drummer who replaced the original drummer who tragically died in the early days of the band.
Have spent about 20 year with a few bits of lyrics to this in my head...finally get to hear it and see video...thank you!! To hear full song (no video) and read lyrics go to the following...won't let me post link 'actionext' and search Love and Money Halleluiah Man - yes that spelling :)
Well done neofunkyman!! I was one of the few who bought the 12" of this in the late 80's, and still have strange kind of love on cd. There were a lot of seriously underrated Scottish bands including the Big Dish and Fruits of Passion. And don't forget the Irish who had The Adventures, fantastic stuff!!
Omg! Obviously, it's been awhile, but the last time I looked, there were no Love and Money videos on here. Thank you! And btw, spent a decade without the cd leaving my car... (or a copy of it on cassette in the first several years)... :)
Why on earth is there not a full video of this song that NEEEDS promotion! Such a blast quality of a song are you going to look after for ages. Definitely not a mainstream pop or mass produced! Sheer sense for sensible music without being sick depressing or expressing dissatisfaction with everything!
Unfortunately it's always been like that. They were a great band, and Strange Kind of Love is in my top ten albums of all time, but I'm the only person I know who bought it.

Cream of the 80s. Pished all over every other band of this era. How they didn't end up as stadium-filling behemoths, answers on a postcard.
