@rwilbourn1 I don't know exactly what happened between those two because I started to watch this show since January 2011 but Nick and Maxime (Ludo's sister) hate each other, Maxime was really shady and took everything away from Nick and everyone believed Maxime's side of the story, Nick became mad and he tried to kill Maxime once, then he had to go to a clinic because Maxime made Ludo and Nina believe it was better for him.

But I don't know if that's the originally reason why Ludo hate Nick

I don't mean to criticize, but if she was shot in the head, her brains would have been blown out. No weak pulse. No slight hope of living. But, it's a soap opera so I will ignore this, and pretend she was shot in the leg.

Also, are we expected to sympathize Wiet now? Because that is soo not about to happen.

@spongebobsmyhero Most cases of head trauma from a gunshot, the patient dies from swelling of the brain. the skull is so hard that in most cases i've seen, the bullet gets lodged in the skull, cracking it, which puts pressure on the brain causing the brain to swell....it is rare but one can survive such a trauma.

It's tempting to see Wiet as "crazy". But in fact here she is not being portrayed as out of her mind. She knows what's going on and where she is. No visions, voices or delusions. She plans her crime carefully and acts with a clear instinct of self-preservation. In this episode one even gets the impression that she is trying out an "insane" (or "confused") persona to see what she can get away with. Not sure where the writers are going with this. In the past, she was delusional; not now.

@jarabaa so agree with you. See clearly knows what she was getting herself into when she took that gun and aimed it at Nina. She wasn't delusional she was desperate and obsessed... I hope her family knows that she isn't really crazy or that she's innocent... For heaven's sake a wonderful event just turned into a nightmare because of her... how would they feel if the table were turned... she doesn't deserve mercy she should be punished

Best acting is from Nina. One can believe the whole world collapsed just by looking at her face. I can't say the same for the others; I feel like there's something lacking from their reactions (they all played it restrained).

It took me so long to get through this without falling apart. Ugh. Jack should never have to say those words to someone he loves. He's a good cop though. Sjors and Jack, I can't imagine what they're feeling right now. Poor little deranged Wiet. I don't think she was ready to be without treatment. She obviously needed more psych care after she left the hospital last time but with teenagers it is so hard to know what's going on with them.

I can't even deal with Lucas and Janine. My heart hurts.

She has been ill before and if Sjors and Jack had been paying proper attention to her they would have realized how vulnerable she still was after she got out of the hospital the last time. How would killing herself be "honorable"? She needs psychological care,she suffers from delusions. If folks had taken her mental health more seriously this wouldn't have happened. ShWith the right treatment she could get better.

God I was in a complete bubble of silence during the opening scene. My whole life was quiet, and the aftermath just sucked me in.
