@MysteryJimmy get both, there both amazing :D if you can only get one it depends what you wanna do. c4d is good cause if your just getting into 3d its REEALLY easy to use and will help you, and 3ds max is way more complicated and daunting, but has better renderers and more advanced options and plugins
please tell me you made it only with stock max pflow elements. i dont want to get krakatoa. and can i get a tut on how u got the particles to look fluidly like that? mine allways flow into a round cloud.
You might do that in after effects but i don't think it would look that good. This is very realistic as if it turned to ash or somehting and then the wind would lift it up and accelerate a bit which is what it should do. Well done mate (:
this would probably take more than five hours becouse it's 3D, but it's worth it becouse you could spin around it or whatever, in AE you can't do this in a full 3D perspective.
Great vid there is more going on than you think at least 3 different winds with different settings and the final render looks like Krakatoa asd the particles are so fine
what is better cinema 4D or 3Ds Max?

@MysteryJimmy the two programs are great, but I prefer the 3ds max

I know :D
But can you imagine the render time like 5 hours xD

@Godisen007 it takes 10mins to make, and 10 to render it...
oBLACKIECHANoo 1 year ago
@oBLACKIECHANoo So how'd you make it then? o.O And 10 mins for rendering, well, you have a fucking huge computer then
Godisen007 1 year ago
@Godisen007 lol krakatoa renders alot lot faster than you expect it to, and its too much to just explain.
oBLACKIECHANoo 1 year ago
@Godisen007
because its 3d?? you kidding me...
only if there are a couple of million particles with such complicated materials added to them, it will take 5 hours for this scene.
only lightning and gi controls use up the most memory.. also duplicates of a an object that has 100,000 polys which is totally unnecessary!
