  • @2dudeshavingfun LOL ur trying to show off.

    BTW, Username Epic fail XD

  • this is me after watching breaking dawn

  • my gut told me i should not watch this movie at night but i did not listen :( i woke up the whole damn house

  • This is what happens to me when I've seen (put here title of movie you hate) for the first time.

  • I really don't care for this movie, but as I am a fan of horror and thriller, I am going to give kudos to this particular scene. This scene is genius... I just love how it took me off-guard completely! xD

  • watched this in college today, this scene made the whole room scream XD

  • ah :/

  • For me, the point of this scene in the film was to show the viewers that he's scarred. Although not physically, inside, a part of him is bleeding. As he reveals later, he's seen things that no child ever should. Looking at his life, at first all you see is some seriously weird guy but in his dream, as he opens his eyes, the viewers too open their eyes in the sense that they can see inside him and see a child who has been wounded irreversibly and is the cause of all his actions.

  • @newdawnfades96 I like your explanation of this scene. Really does add a certain clarity to it. Plus there is an additional fact to be added to your analysis - that it is said that the eye is a window to the soul and in this case Sy's soul is bleeding.

  • the eyes are kind of like the infected in 28 days later

  • The way the blood streams out looks like the way film camera would stream out violently.

But what was the whole point of this scene in the movie?

  • AND HE WAS WEARING WHITE, TOO!

  • great movie!

  • Really needs a Blu Ray release.

  • if you look down at the comments without looking at the video his scream will make you jump a little bit (it happened to me idk bout u)

  • FUCKING SCARY....best if you see the movie from the beginning....very unexpected scene!

  • Its the spawn of O2 from Kirby!

  • I know why its funny now. Its Funny because its Robbin Williams

  • When I saw this I couldn't stop laughing lol aghhh

  • its even scarier when you have base headphones and have it full blast

that childhood icon scared the shit out of me

  • Oh god, it's even worse with the sound

  • love this movie, this scene is so simple in comaparison to other horror scenes, but its that weird its disturbing, especially his scream.

  • This movie sucked ass

  • @tmm1641 Just like your dad did

  • @tmm1641 You're an idiot.

  • D:

  • This was the Funniest Scene in the whole movie hahahaha

  • When i saw this movie yesterday it scared the shit out of me :0

  • You ain't never had a friend like me!

  • I remember as a kid watching this scene I have no word to describe how disturbed i was after this scene

  • I like the scene, but I never understood the point of this scene.

  • @Pinhead554 Well, Sy is a very lonely guy. That's why he attaches to the Yorkins so easily. After he looks at the last photos turned in by Mr. Yorkins and sees that he is cheating on his wife with another lady...Sy gets angry. He steals a knife from the display in the store (not sure why a photo guy has a key to that? lol) and goes to the hotel Mr. Yorkins and his mistress are staying. Makes them pose nude and act like they're doing sexual stuff. Sy was abused by his dad when he was little.

  • @Pinhead554 Sy's father took pictures of him in the same way that Sy made Mr. Yorkins and his mistress. So Sy has some psychological problems and this scene, I think, depicts his conscience crying about all of this overwhelming stuff. You can see the red color...he's a photo guy. It's red ink tears. Dark Magenta tears, I guess? It kind of shows his love for his job + his crazy childhood + his love for the Yorkins' family. All combined to form a nighmare.

  • @Pinhead554, long story short. he's going mad. this shows how mad.

  • @Pinhead554 i'm not sure if this scene takes place before or after he finds out about the affair (haven't seen it in a while), but if it's after, I would assume the scene represents how you feel when you see something (ie: with your eyes) that you can't erase/forget..some thing thats so disturbing and distressing that your eyes metaphorically bleed from it.

  • @Pinhead554 Sy's life is so empty outside of his job that even his nightmares are about photo-finishing.

  • Awesome!

  • LOL

  • Pause at 0:23 and look at his face. XD

  • Lol that was the funniest thing I've ever seen

  • Now you know what happens when you watch too many Italian horror movies. Tee Hee...

  • non hai capito niente del film

  • non hai capito niente del film

  • I didn't plan on sleeping tonight.

    Yup.

  • my balls grew legs and ran away

  • Ohhhhhhh so THAT'S why there are so many references to End of Evangelion in this movie.

  • lol, red eye.

  • @FinnyGold thanks! i can sleep happily again!

  • i saw this as a kid too and remember it was really scary. STILL IS!

  • Pause at 0:22

  • Reminds me of my dreams.

  • This scene scared me so bad the first time I saw it. I can still barely bring myself to watch it in its entirety.

  • Did anyone else get the connection of this scene to the Red Eye effect in photography?

  • @PerryWhyte

took me forever but yeah xD

  • @PerryWhyte now you says it...

  • Effective scene but definitely not the greatest in the film...

  • Holy Shit

  • This scared the shit out of me when I saw this 8 years ago....

  • I began to laugh. Amazing scene!

  • @fuzzlefluff thats why :/ ???? :D

  • @mariab0609

  • very nice shock effect and an scary accent in the movie

  • Hahahahah :'D

  • everytime in this film that sound is coming and nothing is happening, but you always expect it.

and in THIS scene i thought nothing would happen again, but then...

    i was so shocked !!

  • seeing this scene again after years its not scary at all. but i was like 8 when i saw this the first time and i was traumatized beyond belief. since then ive always dreaded seeing this movie again, but now that ive confronted my demons i will watch it again

  • saw this movie at 2 oclock hbo last night.... woke my whole family up

  • @hazzeegloo i was joking the fort time i commented and was joking when i replied!

  • @scousereddy2468 thats why we need toilets-chairs at the cinemas. either i watch scary movies like this and i shit my pants or very funny comedies and i pee myself

  • @mariab0609 yeah you too! most tubers click on videos they dont like just to hate on it or troll on others opinions! why cant we just all most are own opinions and stay clean and simple?

  • @scousereddy2468 someone finally said it...! :) its good to know that some people still have opinion and say it out loud.

  • @mariab0609 there should be a code! you troll on anouther persons opinion or post a video that misleads people into watching rich ashely and you get band off youtube FOR LIFE!

  • @scousereddy2468 wanna listen to a greek song? i loved it and i wanna know your opinion about it. search: ''helena paparizou - Psahno Tin Alithia'' and it means ''i'm looking for the truth''

tell me about a song you liked too

  • @scousereddy2468 I never thought it was blood, I just assumed it was developing fluid. funny...

  • @scousereddy2468 , i thought it was blood but to me it now looks more like red ink.. for colour photos, but yes, indeed scary.

  • thats what happens when you get rich rolled 100 times in a row while high!

  • he wachet a twilight movie

  • press 7 five times

  • the scene is very good, but i think the red tear is animated, and this looks not very well...

  • He just watched Twilight

  • Because of this scene i have a fear of eyes. Can look at people normally when i talk to em but if they open their eyes wide it makes me feel sick. HATE this scene, good film in general though

  • For some reason, the completely empty store is such a haunting image to me.

  • i understand powerful scenes like this, but i can't see the revelance to the plot, can someone explain?

  • @SuperHeroMania Its to do with the fact he's spying on these people, its like he shouldnt be looking at what they're doing so he has this nightmare about his eyes bleeding.

  • @kazanator Ah, that makes sense, thanks

  • @kazanator

    Nope.

  • @SuperHeroMania

Well, this scene happens right after he see's the pictures of the husband's affair. He's followed the entire life of this family. What he's seen is, for him, life shattering.

  • Pause it at 0:23

    Hilarious

  • @NitnatsnokBugolos Haha, it is.

  • Very, very strong scene.

  • my mom is a big fan of robin williams, so i showed her this video

she was never the same again

  • i aint gonna lie, this fucked my head up first time i saw it lol

  • LMAO this video gives me the creeps. XD

  • Ahhh god this is such a haunting scene, lol. It's sad that it's the most memorable part of the movie (for me) but still so well done

  • That part always scared the shit out of me when I was a kid. Love that movie though!

  • @EXschadenfreude was just gonna say that! :)

  • @EXschadenfreude lol how old were you when u watched this i dont think its a movie for kids

  • @BBeAtZ91 I was about... 12? I don't know if you really consider that young, but back then it still made me jump quit a bit. Still gives me a little bit of a chill. I loved the movie though, still do.

  • ah i remember first time i watched this, really made me jump out of my skin!

the way i saw this is that the blood coming out of his eyes is symbolic of something he witnessed at a young age that he wasn't meant to see and its scarred him. i think thats pretty in keeping with the rest of the film.

  • My dad said it was chocolate milk. XD

  • I remember seeing this when I was 12. Not good.

  • @Schluffy I'm 12 and I watched it yesterday.

  • its not blood! its developing fluid!

  • This scene has literally haunted me for years when I was a child.

  • I work in a one hour photo lab now and it sucks ass. I have worked in two so far, Walmart and Walgreens. Not by choose but bc I was desperate. If I had to work in a photo lab for 20 years I would go nuts too. As far as being a bad job, it's almost as bad as being a waitress or telemarketer (in my opinion). At least at those two jobs you get either tips or commission to deal with all the bull shit. Photo lab, you just get your shitty hourly pay. I can't stand professional photographer customers.

  • I can see Robin's character is quite lonely and sheds tears of blood. I think it is a symbol of punishment through the subconscious mind seeing these photos and being attached to this family that it was a sin from god to have this nightmare.

  • has anyone noticed that he has webbed hands.

  • First time I saw this movie I almost had a heart attack at this part it scared the living shit outa me

  • SO poignant and meaningful to the film. Watched this (Again) last night. Love this scene. Bare shelves representing his loneliness and emptiness inside, his vision, which he uses through photo development as a way to escape but in some ways come to terms with his past, robbed from him leaving him more vulnerable to his past than ever before. This is such a good delve into abnormal psychology. Amazing film. Watch it now if you haven't already!

  • I remember watching this film for the first time on our VHS player. Me and my dad jumped out of our couches laughing! and at the same time screaming! lol This scene is one of the main reasons why I have nightmares of Robin williams at night! XD

  • fuck me that was scary as hell

  • lmfao i love this part

  • @Sherbud

I know, right?! Everyone i show it too gets all weird and shit, but i can't help but to piss myself every time!

its the ARGH that makes me laugh!

  • He was decribed as cold and not a nice person in onr review, but I just think he'd mental health issues. I felt sorry for him.

  • I love horror movies, (I guess this is a thriller) and I need something BIG to scare the shit out of me. This movie was clearly not a horror, but this scene... made my heart stop. That is actually one of my worst fears. Ahhhh. I get scared of it every time I watch, but I love it. I looove being scared.

  • the first time i saw this part i freaked out and couldn't sleep when i went to bed!

  • This is the funniest scene in the movie!

  • I can't call it masterpiece but it was really great movie. Robin Williams showed great acting. Connie Nielsen, Michael Vartan and Dylan Smith were awesome as well. Robin knows how to play bad guys. I still can't forget his villain Finch from Insomnia.

  • Oh my god I just saw this movie and this scene. It scared the holy hell out of me!

  • SHIT! wasnt expecting that!

  • funny thing is that this scene just pops up out of nowhere and is the only horror sequence in the entire film. This is one random ass clip that the editor was like,oh fuck it lets do something completly random and this was genious.Great moive.

  • DOM COBB: "Uh...fuck it, I'm outta here."

  • This scene was supposed to show the rage that Sy has.

  • 100% bad dream more then creepy or scary

  • I was 9 when I saw this movie and that scared the shit out of me.

  • That looks a bit too orange to be blood. I always thought it might be photographic developer or fixer chemicals.

I remember seeing this at school for the first time. My friend and I just looked at each other - eyes wide open, pale faces. Then we grinned. This scene is shear brilliance.

  • @Fagottron Photographic developer...would've never thought of that! :)

  • Evangelion...

  • whats the movie?

  • This scene literally comes out of nowhere. Awesome!

  • That was gross.

  • beats any zombie gore fest this film, scared the pants off me !!!

  • I'm watched this for a class...for...a class...

This scene...I was not...prepared for it..

  • this scene made me jump out of my seat in the theatre

    no bullshit

  • Scary!!!!!

  • O_O

  • Holy shit!! That scared me out!

  • This scene scared the shit out of me.

  • My favorite scene from this movie. On regular tv channels they skipped this part. I rember watching th movie again waiting for this scene and they just show him up until 0:10

  • Baah, i've had some sick nightmares because of this scene :p
