There's only one, and I'd suggest not killing it. It never respawn's after you kill it.

Just a random tip. Slaughterfish hate electricity. So I'd suggest completing the "Finger of the Mountain" Mages Guild quest in Chorrol if you don't have any electic magic.

it's not part of a quest either because you don't even have to come in contact with it to do the quest but you can find by going the wrong way for that quest for the theives guild

Its actually part of a quest because if you dont it will be kinda hard cuz that thing will stalk you. If you dont belive me just do all the quest in the thevies guild. You have to steal some arrow thingamabob but you have to go through there to find out where the wizard is hiding with it.
