  • drive the freaking thing already

  • To - @HYP3R4CT1VxFR3AK

    Patience grasshopper!!

  • That is freakin awesome

  • dude this thing is bad ass, i dont care if it never ran or you never finished it its still bad ass

  • I want to see it run and drive

  • To - @MrWalkerds

Have you seen my other videos?

  • @rcWizzard yeah but I couldn't find one of it driving around

  • To - @MrWalkerds

22 was the first test drive, the engine is running, but I need to work on the moving part. :-)

    Stay Tuned ....

  • @rcWizzard Man, I can't wait to see this thing really perform. I congratulate your skills and dedication to something like this.

  • you could always put those left over brakes on the front

  • To - @jss121780

I may do that if needed.

  • Are you gonna put breaks in the front????....... The stopping power of that car would be 70%.....if you only have it in the back its 30%. Add them up you have 100.....Dont forget the breaks in the back have to engage a split second ahead of the front otherwise the car will loose control when you try to break.

  • is it just me or does the nose of your digger look HUGE in contrast to the rest of the body?

  • I like the Grave Digger 1/4scale monster truck the double disk breakes work better than the single disk breakes do

  • painting the flag yourself was definatly not the easy route haha. it looks good but if you went to a decent screen printer they could have done that in less the 20 minutes. a cheaper route would be to go down to the local highschool and talk to the graphic arts teacher. they would love to have one of their students make money on their work. too late now but just for future reference.

  • instead of 2 discs couldnt you just make the single disc wider... ? im into rc modelling myself so am really into this, and im just thinking, is the servo strong enough as completely compress the piston into the master cylinder, look forward to a reply to this Stevie

  • To - @HendoLawdy

A wider single disk would not help, it's still only 2 contact surfaces. 2 disks give 4 contact surfaces.

I believe the servo is strong enough.

  • @rcWizzard A wider single disk would help just as well. You would have more surface area of friction. Your answer is like saying "well two smaller rear tires will have more traction than one bigger one." when in reality, so long as they have the same surface area, they will have the same amount of traction (all else equal).

  • To - @Rockit181

Buy wider do you mean larger in Diameter, or thicker?

  • @rcWizzard ahh I should have clairified. Indeed, thicker would not provide more braking force, just heat capacity. More diameter however, would allow for more braking force.

  • To - @Rockit181

You must realize, I only have 4.5 inches inside the wheel. The Twin piston calipers were designed for a 2.5" disk, the larger the disk, the less grip (or contact surface) the pads have on the disk. I hope I have clarified my design.

  • @rcWizzard if you are limited by diameter of the wheel then dual disks makes sense. Good luck, I think you've got an awesome buid

  • LOL thats big

  • how much was that

  • To - @thetrickster12345

What part are you asking about?

  • looking good bro

  • you need a girlfriend

  • 1:35 you mised the tooths

  • when is the next video gonna be posted. cant wait to see final product

  • To - @3rdgenRS305

I want to have the new exhaust ready to send out to be welded. So a week or two.

  • i want that angen srry for bad eng

  • To - @adhdkidnl

    Go to ConleyPrecision. com

  • Real Grave Digger has 4 wheel stearing!!

  • To - @kellydooo

And a Supercharger. Check out part 21.

  • okay. lets see you try and recreate grave digger at 1/4 scale perfectly!

  • To - @sam17702

I'm doing my best. Not done yet.

  • esses americanos são tão bobos caraa.. kkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • To - @Berluanione

    English dude, English!!

  • @rcWizzard the guy above you said these Americans are so stupid man .. kkkkkkkkkkkkkk. just lettin ya know

  • To - @mrredneckdipper100

    Did you reply to him??

  • @rcWizzard ya why?

  • To - @mrredneckdipper100

BC I can't speak/write his language. What did did you tell him?

  • @rcWizzard i didnt reply to him. i was telling you what he said to you

  • @mrredneckdipper100 probably a troll. youtube is infested with them. most who troll have no video backup of themselves doing better.

  • @Berluanione tua vovo viado

  • disk brakes from a mountian bike would also do

    6", 8". can i have it

  • To - @stephmc111

    Caliper is to big.

    Can you have what?

  • @rcWizzard can i have your digger LOL

  • To - @stephmc111

    Sure. For 30k.

  • make avid were it runs through the mud

  • :) :) thanks

  • this is not 1/4 scale, try multiplying the wheelbase by 4 and you get like 2m. A real grave digger would be like 6-8m wheelbase. This thing is probably 1/10th scale at the most. HAHA

  • To - @jaisah2

The length of this truck is 4 feet. Grave Digger #20 is 16 feet long. 1/4 scale, right?

Check part 11B if you still need help.

  • @jaisah2 Jaisah, 1 meter is slightly longer than 3 ft. That means the real Grave Digger would have to be over 24 ft long. Grave Digger's body was modeled after an old panel truck not anywhere close to over 24 ft. My neighbors fullsize 4-door longbed f-250 4x4 is barely over 24 ft. When pulling his 20 Cobia Boat it looks nearly the same size. This truck is perfect to scale.

  • why dont u drive it?

  • To - @eagles211able

It's not drivable yet. This is Not a RTR truck!

  • @rcWizzard sorry just i thought it was one of them trucks that r just for show

  • cool i saw part 21 where did you get that engine that you started:))

  • To - @traxxastmax1

    From ConleyPrecision. com.

Why did you post your question here, rather than part 21??

  • is it 2wd or fwd

  • To - @traxxastmax1

    2WD.

  • Pmmj,uk

  • How Long Has This Project Been Going on ? Do you have any advice for a guy who would like get in to Fabrication For A Hobby truck of my own ? I have Some R/C knowledge on Traxxas Nitro engines and basic R/C cars I have Kinda Gone Electric since my son is enjoying this Fun Hobby But I would Like to Make a Cool Project with my son ...

  • To - @towmandan420

This is a question that's best answered while having a cold on the front porch!!

    Send me a PM.

Almost 5 years now on this project.

  • whats next

  • To - @700xxhonda

Have you seen parts 20 and 21.

  • @rcWizzard no sir. but i just looked it up and it looks fantastic

lets get that bad ass running!

  • is that literally big ?(the R/C)

  • To - @bloc6463

    Yes.

  • check out part 2 of the stabilizer build.

  • is it finished ?

  • To - @exoticg9

    No, not Yet.

  • @rcWizzard i want to see this beast running

  • you sir, are an awesome guy. I applaud people making things on their own and being creative

  • Dude are you shitting me? get to fn point already and who is your imaginary friend pushing the truck down the hill?

  • To - @Iwtraveler

    No.

I was holding the brakes on with the remote.

  • DUDE NO ONE GIVES A SHIT ANOUT URE GD FLAGS

  • To - @hovilig

    Check out part 19B!

  • i think this is amazing!!!!! im staying in tune with this... your very inspiring!

  • How much the motor cost?

  • To - @sweetcougar

Used from e-Bay for $1650. Check out the new version at ConleyPrecision. com.

  • I see all your videos but I want to see the truck runing !!!!!

you have any video to see in action??

  • To - @14josetomas

No, not yet, BUT,,,,,, stay tuned!!

    Soon, Very soon.

  • @rcWizzard *in a whiny voice* you've been saying that for 2 years! -pouts-

  • Fantastic work.

  • did anyone else think that the flag was on a wall intil he grabbed the picture of the flag?

  • Just to add my 2 cents lol the heavier abrasive the disc is the better the stopping power as well.

  • how much the body?

  • To - @slash4x4lipo

Are you interested in buying one?

  • @rcWizzard just to know

  • To - @slash4x4lipo

    $150 plus shipping. Unpainted.

  • @rcWizzard i think you should find some vids regarding your monster and find and upgrade the machine to a little bit more of a nitro status, it should give you more acceleration and top speed or find a R/C mechanic to get the engine faster

  • i don't why someone would think that two discs were worse than one. greater contact area means greater friction which then means greater stopping power.

  • Would it still stop once the engine is up and running? Or would it be like the single discs and just slow it down?

  • To - @urskills

Yes, the brakes will still work when the engine is running.

  • you need harder suspension

  • To - @013dirtdiver

Putting oil back in the shocks will solve that.

  • i want to see it run let me know thank you

  • To - @djjoep100

    Check out part 1.

  • perhaps it just looks gigantic in the video...lol, didnt think it was only 1/4 inch ha ha

  • you need to paint the chassis green and the axles black. Leave everything else silver lol

  • To - @moparmaxx26

    Thats Powder Coat.

    And Springs will be red.

  • Cool can't wait till its done.

  • o xristos kai i gamimeni panagia...you are fucking crazy man...awesome

  • To - @plomit88

    Thanks, I think.

  • i understand that it is not finished yet..but what kind of budget you have put to this project??i m thinking to try something similar in the future...again perfect job....(excuse my crappy english)

  • To - @plomit88

5 to 6k so far, including the engine.

  • @plomit88 ti vlastimas mn sou gamisw anapire zwo tou kerata

  • To - @jdfrog1

    English Dude, English!

  • DUDE!!! at 3:30, if i am not mistaken that yellow tube is fuel into motor correct? holy crap its bigger than the fuel line on my truck! and i drive a 5.7 ltr 2500. lol

  • To - @warreng619

You mean the 1/4" fuel line from a weed eater?

  • The suspension looks a bit soft?

  • To - @satricon

I have not refiled the shocks with oil after some mods.

  • This project is absolutely awesome. First up 1/4 scale is perfect. It's small enough to still be a scale model so to speak, but big enough to look incredible and have such scale movement. Very inspiring work. The attention to detail is incredible too. It just looks so great. Been watching since about episode 15 or so. Great stuff, good on ya mate.

  • You should ask the grave digger team to sponser your build.

    When comes 20?

  • To - @CleverName1234

They do my aluminum welding for me.

Have started 20, hope to finish it by this weekend.

  • when comes 20

  • Why do not you use MTB disc brakes?

  • To - @superoxnova

To big, and, they're not designed to be controlled by a servo.

  • @rcWizzard

ah ok, maybe you could fabricate a bracket :p my shimano XT brakes stop me in 123 wheel lock ( im 85kg + bike 11-12 ) would be nice, butt your rimz are to small to fit the 160mm discs..

    grtz

  • tired of watching so many videos!!!!!!:0

  • lets see it run

  • LAGGER

  • To - @luv2cheez

    Stay Tuned!............

  • hello i wanted to direct you to xoxide ddot com,if you look under their water cooling kits for PC's im sure you could find a suitable radiator for this engine, they have many water cooling radiators in various sizes and configurations. it would be better than making one and would look really cool.

  • To - @KeithWasHere1

Thanks for that web site. Very nice looking radiators. Unfortunately one that is the correct scale size would only hold 10 to 15 oz of water. That would not take long to boil, even with a fan. The 2 water tanks I have hold over 90 oz, they look out of place but are needed.

  • That's real car man, congratulations!!

  • WILL THIS BE READY IN THE NEXT 20 years?

  • To - @1982FmX

    YES!

    Stay Tuned................

  • @1982FmX try to make the same job LOL

  • Let me know wen u ready to run the dammm thing......holla

  • y dont u drive it

  • To - @John20705

    It's not drivable Yet.

  • do u get mad boners for monster trucks?

  • To - @izzmasta5tousand

    Who doesn't!!

  • actualu i want to see it drive but hey i know its not that easy keep it up.

  • Sick vehicle!!! Cant wait to see it run. I'm with ya warreng619 anyone that complains dose not know the time and engineering put into a build like this. Much less the money!!! Lets see you whining babies buy a conely engine.

  • When is the next video going to be up? You should also put an electric setup in it so you can drive it around without wasting gas just a thought great videos keep posting

  • is the engine watercooled twin 50.8 cc? cause its badass can't wait to see it ... im going to post a video soon .. when my baja 5b parts arrive im gonna make a video pics and actual video to show cause im pumped up!! ;) keep it up man :)

  • To - @BlueEyeEagle1

    It's a 75cc Conley V8. Yes, water cooled.

  • @rcWizzard !!! 75cc! wow from where did u get it? and can i buy one for my baja 5b? =D appreciate it thanks ;)

  • dont listen to those dolts. they prob just cant comprehend the concept of working towards something and earning the play time. although there were 19 videos they were not too monotonous, they simply illustrate the point that this is not just a big rc, but rather a manifestation of years of practice and learning. i enjoy welding and fabricating as well so i enjoyed the videos. just think of em as a mini series leading up to a grand finale!

  • To - @warreng619

    Hey, thanks man!!

  • whens it gonna be running?

  • To - @legit376

    By the end of May.

  • @rcWizzard how fast is it gonna go?

  • The only people making comments about how all they want to see is the thing being driven are likely the same people that take their electric Stampede or Rustler in when when it breaks a drive shaft or strips a steering servo. Personally. I think these videos are phenomenal!!! And I also have to say that I think you are an unbelievable machinist!

  • To - @drummin65turbo

    Wow, Thanks man!!

  • its not as scale without 4WD

  • To - @rccarstore1

This is true, but I rather not spend another 150 some hours on a part that will slow it down and make Wheelies more difficult.

  • looking forward to seeing this running nice vids keep up the good work \m/(-_-)\m/

  • is this 4 wheel drive?

  • To - @rccarstore1

No. 4WD will add weight and slow it down.

  • i liked watching the full vid and glad he went into so much detail, my son loves gravedigger, cant wait to see the finished version

  • how long until you will be done?

  • To - @moparmusclezxc1

Hope to have it drivable by the end of May.

  • how fast should this go when its done?

  • To - @therockstar225225

    Can't wait to find out!

  • dude u made 20 videos okay i dont want to be a dick but cant u make a video of u acually using the damn thing nobody wants to sit through 20 videos just to see it i want to see that shit in action its dirty

  • To - @STACKS2500cummins

    It's not drivable yet.

    Stay Tuned !............

  • @rcWizzard when is it going to be done? put a update vid up

  • To - @FirestormNitroRacer

Hope to have it drivable by the end of May.

  • @rcWizzard oh kk

  • @STACKS2500cummins i do. this is a completely awsome show of engineering and mill/lathe work. Keep it up Wizzard.

  • To - @laParka777

    Thanks man!!

  • @STACKS2500cummins Exactly!!! I watched 1,11 & 19 and was pissed to never see the thing running. I don't want to see the R & D of the thing I want to see it working.

Not to mention 19 videos of you bumbling to this point make you appear incompetent.

  • @STACKS2500cummins Exactly!!! I watched 1,11 & 19 and was pissed to never see the thing running. I don't want to see the R & D of the thing I want to see it working.

  • To - @doppydufus & @STACKS2500cummins

I guess you haven't figured it out. I've made these videos specifically for those that Do want to see the R&D and How Its Done. "Incompetent", so show us what you've built lately, from scratch, with no instructions!

  • @STACKS2500cummins I watched all 20, ive actually watched them a couple of times. For the few of us out there that actually like to see how something works, these videos are great. So you can go watch a video of someone driving an rc. Keep it up rcWizzard.

  • To - @ACountryBoy4X4

    Thanks man !!

  • @STACKS2500cummins right. then you make one and show us how it's done whilst the rest of us enjoy the story of making said "shit" that's "dirty".

  • drive it more

  • Congrats on spending months of your time building something that has no purpose and is not useful in any way. I'm sure it will look good in the living room though. Maybe you can build a 1/4 scale version of yourself so you can drive it.

  • To - @upsdelivery

    So what's your problem??

Sounds like you need a hobby.
