  • I Love how he starts with Some Girls Look Good, switches to Prison Oval Rock, and then comes back around to Some Girls Look Good to finish it out. Bravo! Soul overload!

  • Man I wish I could see Brad live!

  • @16king1618 we all do bro, we all do

  • i hope thats a constant smoke cloud i keep seein in the background

  • such a raw jam

  • irie i

  • check out the mainstreet dubsacks if u love sublime!! reggae for life

  • ....still get good vibes from this guy, he just goes into a fucking trance basically

  • riiiiiiddim track. i still dont get why no selectors play sublime dubs.

  • this version of scarlet begonias kills the album version

  • the pussys not ready.. the bodys not ready.. punani not ready.. but them not ready

    he says them all

  • CHECK OUT my band called....FAT LIPPED FISH...keep the reggae rock sound growing...our first album is due march 2011!!...help support new original bands in this awsome style of music!!

  • He says Some girls look good, but there punani's not ready! is it that hard?

  • Punani's not ready he says . Girls look good? but dem but dem not ready. Prison oval rock is a song by barrington levy that brad made into girls look good.

  • @MikeVtooch89

Its a mixture. He sings warning sign, then goes in prison oval rock. POR is by barrington levy like you said, but warning sign (girls look good) is not.

  • He says punani, body and but dem but dem

  • Comment removed

  • @mikek21216 but them, bottom, tomatoes, tomåtoes..

  • Check out "Chillin" by Five Wheel Soul

  • No, he says the 'Punani's not READY' ... time for someone to invest in hearing aids.

  • He says "but the punani's not everything"...

  • sick how he just flows with some sick as ryms

  • he saying but them them not ready.......

  • God damn, this is the best band ever in the history of music.

  • bud's snare is so loud it's coming through the mic as well as brads voice, and it makes a killer sound.

  • some girls look good, but the punani not ready

    real talk

  • hes not doing it mikey/ miguel is doing it

  • Legendary.

  • at the end when that echo chimes in how does he do that, is someone else doing it or is he doing it somehow? just curious..

  • medipak,

word up man, more than likely it was miguel on a space echo, or house echo/delay/reverb unit.

there's a version he says "work"...

"come on mikey.." "work! " and miguel (mike) hits the echo.

miguel was / is the dubmaster of sublime

  • @Medipak Soundman maybe.. or foot pedal.

  • yep, Barrington Levy is a sick inspiration. Black Roses is a sweet track, hell the whole album "Too Experienced" is worth checking into. Word.

  • murderer is where its at mang

  • This live seasson is my favourite one. Can be heard Bob's cover of Hammer tune, fuckin love it

  • If anyone wants to check out our bands stuff we'd be grateful. we've been together for ten years but only just managed to get our tunes on youtube from our album. we're called Sadies Doll. Cheers m' dears!

  • i like him :)

  • So for all you people that can play the guitar or bass: Is Sublimes songs hard to play?

  • not really on guitar, but bass is pretty hard i could imagine, im a drummer though so you might want a second opinion

  • @badfish42092 hehe, the chords are very simple, it's his right hand that is very very difficult to match. Listen to the groove in like Same In The End, not a lot of guitar players can do that in time at that speed.

  • Not really. There's lots of good tab on the web. A lot of the the freestyle/dub stuff is usually just Bradley using 2 chords. All of this just B and A back and forth with sick drum and bass under it.

The trick to have the groove right, which is tricky.

  • in my opinion each instrument is quite easy to play ... the complication comes when you try to play it with a whole band

  • it depends because i have a band and when we play sublime songs it sounds really good...it probably helps that they too love sublime

  • sublime is all about the feeling of the music, as long as you have enough feeling and enough soul, and you understand the music, you can play any sublime song

  • thats true cuz as long as the guitar and bass are on key you can play anything on drums and it'll sound good

  • 1:33

  • Here that snare drum rockin for blocks

  • I wish i was in zion hearin bob n brad jammin ... hehe .. with tosh on base n hendrix on lead ..... and lennon on piano .....

  • you can be zion is state of mind friend. we can all go to zion

  • i hear you there. helps to have sunshine and a bag of ganja tho.

  • bud gaugh murders the kit

    that triple kick at 1:34

    changed music

    long live sublime

  • 1:33

  • hell yeah dude, one of the most underrated drummers of all time IMO. he gets completely overshadowed by brad..i mean, with good reason.

  • if anything imma bring sublime back i hope i can, but im a bassist so it's gonna be changed up. i cna play most of their songs. like slow ride. santeria. badfish. caress me down and etc. i can almost sign like him, but ppl say i mix between pepper and brad...i' might as well attempt it. my drumer is good like this too

  • once you get the 16th note down, their songs arent very hard to play on drums, somewhat, their still frustrating tho, lol

  • I'm not a drumer tho,. i meant the drumer in our band is good.

  • oh no im just saying that its not very hard but its frustrating for anyone who wants to start out by playing sublime cuz of the 16th note shuffle

  • you mean you bought a tab book like nearly every other teenager? ha

  • BUT CAN YOU PLAY THE FUNKY ASS BASSLINES>>ON time like eric??

  • i actually can i'll try and post a vid for you. i still got a lot to practice don't get me wrong, i just hope ppl dont say im trying to copy, im just trying to bring some of this good stuff back. it's gonna be diffenrt but well liked.

  • so man, as long as you try

  • true :)

  • rofl yes!

  • @Loud0glbc triplet, two kicks and a snare. followed by another kick.

  • AWESOME RIP BRAD LOU

  • Why do i always have the impresion that i'm stoned when i'm watching sublime videos?

  • "Some girls look good, but them, but them not ready." (BORN JAMERICANS/warning sign) "Some call it spanish town but prison oval rock" (BARRINGTON LEVY/prison oval rock) A lot of Brads live stuff was covered for the appreciation of the music.

  • Word life! Brrrrrrrraaap Brap! Hahaha! So freakin' ill yo!

  • "Some girls look good, but the BATON no ready (Penis)

"Some girls look good, but the punani no ready" (Pussy)

hope that clears it up :)

  • sometimes he says body, and pussy...its is brad, he's always mixing up lyrics, hes a genius

  • right on

    r.i.p. brad

  • sublime always gives credit to the artists the cover so i dont want to hear any crap about sublime being fake. and most of the time sublime puts a whole different twist on the cover songs they do.

  • the sad thing is that not too many people appreciate or even know the reggae classics that brad covered.

  • True. There are Sublime "fans" out there who claim to dislike reggae. Riiiiiiiiiiighhtt

  • Comment removed

  • depends what one youre talking about.. he says a bunch of different shit

but i hear but their punani's not ready.... but their body's not ready.... and maybe but their mother's not ready? lol

  • you are correct. It is "but their punani's not ready"

  • @SublimeForever i think it's, "but their body's not ready."

  • sublime got a number of songs from various reggae artist mon dem tink dey are original

  • They(Sublime) know where they got it from... its fake rastas that think they orignated it.

  • And some think they are Rasta because they can't spell.

  • ahhhahha

  • I think Brads reffering to Krs-one's Song "Crimnal Minded"

where he says sumthing like ... "the Girlys Look Good But there Brain is Not Ready"..then just doin wat sumbline does best and mixing it up a bit..i dnt atchely knw wat he says thoe..:)

  • he wasnt proud of heroin like he was of weed though

  • alright... still tho im just sayin.

  • no brad was realllly into weed

  • It's a mix of "Prison Oval Rock" by Barrington Levy & "Warning Sign" by Born Jamericans.

  • i knew that shit maxsheeppower but he also sing part of a jamericans song

  • hes using a reverb/echo effect on his voice...

  • Crazy to think Brad was gone in 3 weeks from this show.

  • still, whats singing in playback? like lip syncing?

  • Adroidecamps do you mean that bradley sing in playback ? If yes, just hope that a car will wreck in your ass in one or two days. Serioulsy, just think before post.

    Peace_n' rip bradley

  • whats playback?

  • playback?

  • i bet no one knows who the origional singer for "prison oval rock" is, his name is barrington levy
